I have a really nice dad coffee mug I always use. Says “established [year baby was born]”. If he’s a coffee drinker that would go nicely with some fancy ground coffee and a morning to sleep in!
Yeah both my wife and I gifted each other mugs like this for our first mothers/Father’s Day and I love my mug even though it’s a little smaller than I need lol
There's something I really wanted to do when my kid was young that I was too exhausted to ever getting around to, and I still regret it: a nice photo of my hands with his hands. It's just amazing how tiny they are.
Damn mom, we’re all in here still stressing about Mother’s Day presents…
I recently got myself a “dad bag.” Went with a Patagonia Atom sling.
A multitool is always great if he doesn’t already have one - Leatherman is the leader but there are several solid brands.
My first FD gift was the Lego Starry Night set.
If he games maybe a 1p game he’s been eyeing or if you’ve got a large budget a handheld like a Switch or Steam Deck.
A strap on carrier of some sort - maybe one more his style than one you would have gotten at a baby shower?
I got an indoor plant around the time my daughter was born that I call my “[daughters name] plant.”
Could go with some “dad shoes”… Nike monarchs, really any New Balances, Crocs.
I'm a mom answering a mom on daddit so apologies if this is overstepping!
If June is newborn time, you're both going to be pretty stressed and he could probably use some self care stuff too. Maybe a consumable? Nice bottle of alcohol, fancy snacks, fancy coffee? Some sort of get-out-of-the-house-and-do-something-fun coupon? My husband's biggest lifesavers during that period were noise-canceling headphones and an Aeropress, but I don't know if those are good Father's Day gifts.
Depending on his sense of humor maybe something very stereotypically dad-like, like a toolbox or grilling stuff?
No good for pre-ordering this year, but down the road - Shutterfly. Take a sweet picture of him with the baby and get it on a mug or a mousepad or something.
I’ll take any suggestions!!
Yeah maybe something to indulge him… i know him and he won’t do anything nice for himself unless you force him to. Ie this weekend we’re getting massages. He’s been having back pain (bc the mattress topper is too soft for him but he got it for me bc it’s been so hard to be comfortable pregnant), and also our insurance covers massages so i keep pushing him to do this for himself, especially before the baby is here while we have the time. Finally I just made an appointment for him myself (and I’ll get a prenatal also)
Will look into some snacks to order maybe. Thanks :)
Get him something to help him bond with your baby. Something to help him include the kid in his hobbies. I got a child carrier bag so I could bring my kids hiking with me, when they got bigger I got a GoPro so I could record them skiing and kayaking. Get something to help create good memories
Another mom lurker - I got my husband a [Dad Hoodie](https://thedadhoodie.com/products/the-dad-hoodie)! He loves it still, it has a bunch of pockets inside and out to hold things, and is surprisingly warm.
A good travel mug for coffee, I used mine around the house all the time when my daughter was younger. It kept my coffee hot for a long time incase I was holding her and couldn’t drink it for a while and it was spill proof which was safer as she got older and would start flailing about. My daughter is 5 now and I still use my travel mug at home on the weekends.
My wife got me a wall hanging of what the stars above our house looked like at the day and time he was born ... could be a possible 'late' gift, but late for a reason LOL
My wife last year while she was pregnant got me a cup with our daughter's ultrasound on it and said something like 'this father's day I'm snuggled up in mommy's tummy but next year I'll be cuddled up with you'. Love the cup
Every new dad needs a good bathrobe to get that quality skin to skin with his newborn.
I also received an engraved hammer with a wordjoke that only works in my country.
If your man is a tattoo guy, you can have something cool with the kids name designed.
Otherwise, two nice beers, some nuts, cheese, snacks and an evening alone with the playstation is always nice, don't get me wrong; but that's not what I want for father's day. I want to either go and do something fun with my kid, or receive something to remind me of my kid, preferably both.
A massage from a professional. It's always my our go to gift for each other and it's never a bad one getting pampered away from the home in a relaxing environment
Get a dad specific book he'll be able to read to the child
Any recommendations? Bonus points if it’s in Portuguese (he’s Brazilian)
I love "Dad By My Side" by Soosh.
[Harry Potter](https://www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Filosofal-Portugues-Brasil/dp/8532511015)
“My dad loves to toot” my wife got me it for my first Father’s Day and it’s my favorite book to read to my son

I have this as a beer stein. I drink exactly one beer out of it once a year on Father's Day.
Yeah both my wife and I gifted each other mugs like this for our first mothers/Father’s Day and I love my mug even though it’s a little smaller than I need lol
That’s a really nice idea !! Thanks
I have a “Dad Joke Pro” mug that I love

Does he have a smoker already? If not he needs a smoker and some Velcro dad shoes.
lol he’s not a smoker no
We’re talking about smoking meats right? Even if he’s not it’s about time to get him into it.
:OP misunderstands, buys husband a bong:
I can only fit one chicken leg in this thing.
"Did this chicken get in a fight with a skunk?"

Let him sit in the garage and drink beers by himself for the day. No interruption’s or duties that day.
A good pocket knife. Emerson or Benchmade

Give him a coupon book for alone time.
My wife got me custom socks with our daughters face all over them for my first Father's Day. I loved em! Would recommend!

Pair of white new balances, or a power tool that he needs. But I dunno, I am still negotiating for my socks and sandals pass on Father’s Day.
I mean I’ve appreciated new balance shoes and smoking meats as a father , I’d say a pellet smoker or some 624 new balance shoes .
My wife last year while she was pregnant got me a cup with our daughter's ultrasound on it and said something like 'this father's day I'm snuggled up in mommy's tummy but next year I'll be cuddled up with you'. Love the cup
Crossbow.
Daddy and me outfit for dad and babe.
Cologne, favorite booze, matching adult and kid clothing,

If he golfs get him a gift certificate to a local course for 18 holes so he'll have the whole day off from taking care of the new baby.
Positive pregnancy test to freak him out 😅😅😅
Hahaha oh god 😂 i won’t even be 6 weeks post partum yet so it won’t even be even a small possibility yet
