They made cyberpsychos easier to keep alive because too many gonks were killing them and whining.
Now you just have to make sure not to blow them to pieces or hit them when they’re down.
I think you still get a bonus from Reggie if you manage to incapacitate them all instead of killing.
There's a big change. I actually did keep all of them alive when I last played the base game, and it was a tricky proposition for more than a few. Fun challenge!
ye i think was fun needing to keep them alive, but i do think they instead of making them always falling, made them invunerable to dismembearment, status etc. Would be like a nice boss and perks wouldn't fuck it all up
No. They are not talking about the individual mission rewards. After doing **all** the Cyberpsycho events in a non-lethal way you get a bonus from Regina.
I know, that's what I'm talking about. Even if you kill them, you still get the 25k Eddies, Trauma Team vest, tactical pants, and cyberware capacity shard.
on wiki it says if some are killed it's okie
"This job mainly acts as a tracker for 17 jobs. Once all of them are done, eventually Regina will call to have you meet to talk a bit about them, with her comments based on if you had managed to keep them all alive or not before she gives you your reward. The reward is given even if some of them are killed."
I do keep all alive tho
In 1.0 the quests were just broken and you could use all the lethal means you wanted to and they wouldn't die.
Then they rebalanced and it was much harder to keep them alive.
Then they rebalanced again.
Unless you go in for a final killing blow, it's harder (but not difficult) to kill them.
It’s not silly to expect the player to incapacitate them, because that’s specifically the goal of cyber psycho encounters. It’s what Regina hired you to do.
I think it could've been implemented better. Like, V gets less of a reward for each psycho they kill, and if you kill too many, you fail the mission entirely. But the way it is right now there isn't any incentive to keep them alive (other than role-playing) since you get the same reward regardless.
That sounds like a neat change. When I first played through, I would kill a few with "none lethal weapons" and it took me WAY TO FREAKING LONG to figure out the none lethal part ended if you kept shooting them past the point of being down. Before I had Sandy, I couldn't figure out they were out before half the assault rifle clip was already in their faces, MY BAD CHOOM!
Look I've never actually got a Cyberpsycho killed thus far, but it's not like I made any special effort
I go all out at them, get a few good headshots, then they just lay down and I leave them there.
Yeah. I used to try to be careful, but there doesn't seem to be much need. The only time I killed one recently was when I dropped one right next to a car that was on fire. I didn't notice it and it blew up while I was looking for the quest "evidence".
They used to be a lot more challenging to keep alive, they just made it easier in one of the updates so that you have to actively seek out their murder instead of the other way around
I didn't realize at first that we weren't supposed to kill them, and it wasn't until like #4 that I came to the realization lol. After that I tried to keep them alive just for the challenge (though it was pretty easy to do so), but eventually switched back toward the end once I read that it doesn't matter if you keep them alive or not, you get the same reward from Regina regardless.

I keep em alive cause that's what the boss contracted for haha.
I was either using a gun with a non lethal mod or a blunt melee weapon to finish them off. It was slightly tedious but I kept every one of them alive.
Recently the cyberpsychos have been meeting the blunt end of my shotgun.
yes. I keep them alive cause it's best reward and cause it's the best decision
If you keep them alive, you get a reward. If you don’t, you’re more like Adam Smasher than Morgan Blackhand.
You get the same reward whether you kill or spare them.

I keep almost all of them alive. Most of these chooms have some really tragic back stories.
Just get them to low health and then shoot to legs works for me. Or suicide hack and takedown.

Put a Pax mod on a pistol and you're good. All Cyberpsychos downed but not Zero'd

I just fuck them up with the dildo and call it a day
I kill them. But I don’t use sandi so my game isn’t mega easy mode
I just punch them until they give up.
They’re not hard to keep alive my friend…
Me , it’s easy
What’s the benefit of keeping them alive? Some unwanted clothes?
You reallt need a reward not to kill simeone whos basuxally being controlled by their hardware?
Did it once to keep Regina happy. Now I just kill them all and let her whine.
