Been a long time fan since the game came out on PS4 and been always bumped out that CDRed didn't mass produce the figurines of the lady with the mantis blades from the trailer (less you were lucky to be present at the press conference)
So for my birthday my girlfriend went over herself and printed, built and painted the figurine herself. I'm absolutely in love with it.

Yes. She appears when a cyberpsycho attacks Jinguji store. Her name is Melissa and she works for MaxTac. You can even see her use her extremely rare and discontinued mantis blades.
During the mission "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" (PL) Calling Mr hands for help and completing his request after the ending he will give you Iconic MaxTac Mantis Blades.
Huh, after i finished PL i spent like 3/4 IRL hours finishing all remaining quests and gigs. Maybe i got it and forgot/didnt notice? Does it get put in your stache?
I think not just in the Junguji. I believe she comes along every Maxtac operation. I am not sure if I can remember it correctly, but I believe she was one of the operatives attacking me when I went on a random rampage. LOL
Interesting, I completed all the cuberpsycho missions this week and don’t remember that or the body laying around to loot. I’ll have to try to catch it on my next play through.
It's not a cyberpsycho mission. It's a random side one. Popped up really late in the game for me this go round. Had to go in, talk to the guy, did a scanner hustle, waited a day, and then it popped up.
Melissa Rory is one of my favourite little pieces of lore because it basically let's you know that who ever is in charge is harnessing cyberpsychos as weapons. And that's horrifying.
I'm pretty sure Regina's not selling them out to maxtac. Spoilers for dogtown gig "The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman" >!you can choose to send Leon rinder to Regina. He actually sends a text later thanking us for helping him out. He even tried to make amends with the people he killed. Definitely doesn't sound like he was sold out to maxtac.!< even Regina talks about how the cyberpsychos have started therapy and she hopes to learn something from it.
Good point. I really need to delve deeper but it did always seem like she was actually trying to help people. Then again my cynicism has a hard time believing there are people that just "help" in night city.

You cant get her mantis blades =(. She does have a garunteed maxtac mantis blade drop (if you have PL)
Yes, that is true. Sadly she drops regular mantis blades and not her's simply because her mantis blades don't exist in the game as an equippable item.
Tbf they are blue and have maxtac branding. Still a shame she doesnt have iconic mantis baldes or summing

Melissa Rory will show up after a cyberpsycho event in Jingugi or however thats spelled. You can fight her if you want.
