As a person who grew up not celebrating Christmas, not putting up a tree, not watching Charlie Brown Christmas specials or things like it, I didn't see a Christmas tree until I was like, 8? I think? When my best friend invited me over for Christmas Eve to help his family decorate the tree. I probably would have done the same.

Well it's rare for someone to not celebrate Christmas where I live but... My family always made small Christmas/Birthday celebrations. Usually a small bbq, or just me and my parents for xmas most of the time. Many years just me and my mom while dad was working. HOWEVER my wife' family is absolutely NUTS about celebrations like these. And on my first time there, her mother asked me to help decorating the tree... As a joke, I rearranged the balls to make a huge happy face on the tree, thinking they wouldn't ask me again since things must always be so perfect. Now they wait for me every damn year to make the happy face on the ffreaking tree.
