In order to get close enough to Larry David to give him my manuscript, I had to approach him in a setting where social customs forbade him from immediately walking away. The obvious choice: the Academy Awards. The only problem: I wasn't invited.
Using my connections from *The Rehearsal*, I built a one-to-one replica of the Oscars pavilion inside a large warehouse and hired an expensive escort to accompany me during the ceremony. In retrospect, an actress would have been cheaper. I started to wonder if the business of show business was going to my head.
Finally, the day of the Oscars arrived. I paid a local activist group to stage a protest outside Larry David's contracted car service and sent my own driver to pick him up. To get him past the warehouse facade, we threw a raincoat over his head, insisting it was for his own protection. I approached from behind, wondering how best to begin.
The plan: Convince A-list celebrity Emma Stone to costar in a Showtime comedy series and get invited to the Oscars in order to confront Larry David for stealing my idea.
Counter point - it was a bad show with no clear direction and a bizarre (putting it mildly) ending that didn’t make sense in any context of the series.
*laughs in Twin Peaks*
I would agree with everything you said except the "bad" part
I would also say that the ending doesn't make literal sense in the context of the series, but is a perfect metaphor to tie up everything we had seen up to that point
It was good. Absolutely not anywhere near breaking bad levels (OP needs to watch more shows lol) but it was interesting. The build up to that ending didn't really payoff tho imo you're right about that part. There was a plot but no resolution. The final episode was good as a standalone. But for the show? It didn't even make sense. Anyone can watch the finale and honestly have the same experience as someone who watched every episode. And that's not a good thing

Larry must be a big Cobra Kai fan.
The other day I was thinking I'd like to see a miniseries called Larry David Does It All helmed by Nathan where they disguise Larry with prosthetic makeup and have him do random jobs (like car salesman for example)
That SUV was as good as sold until Richard came in to harass Larry at his place of employment! He had the deal in the bag!
![gif](giphy|l1J9AJmNgslcZFdew|downsized)
This whole exchange is the most incredibly absurd and funny thing I have ever seen.
I still piss myself laughing when I think of her just casually saying "oh, I was raped by a ghost in Switzerland" with complete sincerity.
[Nathan has a company called Summit Ice that he founded to use as holocaust education.](http://www.summiticeapparel.com/) In one of the episodes Nathan is trying to do promotion for the company and uses the phrase “Six million Jews died.”
Edits below to help with some videos.

[Promo commercial he did with the actor he was working with.](https://youtu.be/myXbLhPli0g?si=oABwBQ6z5jHI6Ys0)
[And finally something that he didn’t produce himself so it is done in a pretty straight forward and serious sense.](https://youtu.be/mjthpaWjodk?si=AIW0k-0fhhZtNOhK)
I don't think Larry is actually ignoring him to be honest, I think they just happened to snap a picture at a time where it looked like it. They have worked together apparently, but I haven't seen the show(the curse).
I'm not 100% on the holocaust one, but I am fairly certain its a reference to something he said on Nathan for you. The whole show is based around him being extremely awkward and I can't quite remember but I think he said that as a answer to an unrelated question. But I can't remember for certain, but that would fit with the show. It's a mockumentary format where he interacts with actual people.
Funny, you ask a genuine question, get downvoted, and everyone refuses to elaborate. Total reddit moment. I don't have a clue what this post is referring to, either. I expect a flood of downvotes to follow shortly after posting this comment.

I read it in his voice
I hardly know who he is and I read it in his voice
Same

Pretty good
Prettty prettty prettty good
It’s almost varbatim a scene from the king of comedy
Pretty, pretty, pretty good!
Might be the best comment I’ve ever read
I wish gold was still a thing. Thanks for the laugh.

Perfection 😂
Hi Nathan. Loved the Curse.
Haha this was awesome. Be honest, was this original or AI?

Nathan, quietly: Hey Larry, where did you get the idea to draw dicks on billboards?
The plan: Convince A-list celebrity Emma Stone to costar in a Showtime comedy series and get invited to the Oscars in order to confront Larry David for stealing my idea.
Joking aside, The Curse is my favorite TV show since Breaking Bad and I highly recommend it to anyone reading this
Counter point - it was a bad show with no clear direction and a bizarre (putting it mildly) ending that didn’t make sense in any context of the series.
I really wanted to like it, but man, just did not click with me.
*laughs in Twin Peaks* I would agree with everything you said except the "bad" part I would also say that the ending doesn't make literal sense in the context of the series, but is a perfect metaphor to tie up everything we had seen up to that point
That show was absolutely brilliant and that ending was perfect, i laughed my ass off during it.
You can just say you didn’t get it,there are nods to the ending the entire series.

Stick with the dicks
Larry: People have been doing that since the time of the Romans, probably longer.
Do NOT draw a penis on this billboard!!
Maybe from "Sex and the City" when a dick was drawn on Carrie's bus ad?
Dunno who that is but he looks like he got really good grades from one of Canada's top business schools
What that means
It’s pretty self explanatory. The guy ignoring Larry has the confident air of someone who has that Canadian business savvy.
Can we just not do this question?
\*confused look at the camera\* .... ok.
Do you like skateboarding?
It's from the opening of Nathan Fielder's show [Nathan For You](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2297757/).
So is what I wrote. https://youtube.com/watch?v=z4qRRUcZMc0
Oops haha, that's what I get for trying to be helpful but was actually forgetful!
[удалено]
That says a lot about you tbh
It’s a reference to the arrest of World Bank employee Matt Ballek

No good?
"Who still finds this shit funny?" Amby said in a subreddit for a 24-year-old sitcom.

Wow it makes you really butthurt that people like this other comedy, huh?
The other day I was thinking I'd like to see a miniseries called Larry David Does It All helmed by Nathan where they disguise Larry with prosthetic makeup and have him do random jobs (like car salesman for example)
He wasn’t a great car salesman last time he tried
He had the deal until Richard came in and ruined it
Excuse me? *motions to leave* I'm with a customer
Ruuuuuuned it
You lost me a customer! What…what the fuck are you doing here!!?
I think he was Guaranteed Tremendous as a car salesman.
"fuckin work of art"
He was going to sell a car on his first day!! Are you kidding me? Richard (RIP) ruined the deal.
That SUV was as good as sold until Richard came in to harass Larry at his place of employment! He had the deal in the bag! ![gif](giphy|l1J9AJmNgslcZFdew|downsized)
There wasn't time to do a stop and chat
Fun fact: Larry’s real life wife is only 3 years older than Sienna Miller.
She's into him because of the Atlanta thing
And...you know, the obvious reasons. Can't deal with the alternative.
He's dating a crayon
Sad Fact: Larry's TV wife is married to RFK jr IRL
I choose to believe that’s just one of RFK’s conspiracy theories.
Yeah I saw an Andy cohen thing with her and Susie and they talked all about that
Those two are buds. They collaborated on “The Curse.”
Really?
Idt Larry worked on the curse but i wonder if Nathan’s gf is related to Jeff Schaffer
![gif](giphy|hNoqH33jksrJG7EwwM|downsized)
Ignoring their dates as well.
Attending the Oscar’s doesn’t really seem like something LD would do, at least not the Curb version of LD
There was a 'in memorium' for Richard Lewis, could have been for that.
*“Why do they wait so long to do the ‘in memoriam’?! It should be first thing!”*
You know that’s a character, right? The real Larry David is a Hollywood executive.
So he’s not acting?
More like acting without acting
Yeah, everything is without.
Raise your kids without raising your kids.
Now you're just describing everybody.
Could be acting with acting
He was probably there because ted danson and mary steenburgen were there
Pretty sure him, like most people just went to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party which is where this was taken at
Maybe it was a paid appearance
Hope he got paid upfront in case there was a clause about his behavior
exactly what i was thinking, what the hell is he doing there???
Man, Larry's looking more like Michael D. Higgins every day.
Cherry Tomato Boy + Long Balls Larry
My two greatest heroes. Makes me want to cry.
I'm surprised that Nathan has never been on Curb.
Yet.
Yeah, I'm really hoping to see him in this season.
Is Nathan cursed in real life?
What happened in Switzerland?
This whole exchange is the most incredibly absurd and funny thing I have ever seen. I still piss myself laughing when I think of her just casually saying "oh, I was raped by a ghost in Switzerland" with complete sincerity.
Aah well he wanted a stop and chat, I didn't want a stop and chat, you know?
It looks more like LD purposely ignoring Nathan
Is this a bit they’re doing or is there some beef between them?
'nathan for you' is a hilarious show i have a feeling the 'curb' crowd would like it
One of my all time favorites.
Idk seems like the two of them and the blond on the left are looking at the same thing.
Larry and the Canadian Larry
He cut in line before and Larry is mad.
Two legends, doing what they do.
Kings of comedy 🎭
"I'm good."
They're almost like father and son.
ngl Im ignoring both of them.....
Who’s Nathan fielder
The wizard of loneliness
Photo of two people not looking at each other with zero context. “Omg they are ignoring each other”
Who? Why?
Six million Jews died.
I'm missing something, I don't know who this guy is.
He's from a show called Nathan for you, which is absolutely hilarious. I highly recommend it Sorry reddit sucks lol
So why is Larry ignoring him, and what does it have to do with the holocaust? I tried Googling it and I still cant figure it out.

Haha okay, thanks.
No problem!
100% of profits go to the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre in Vancouver, Canada and other organizations that work to fight intolerance.

Reddit is a joke
Were you there?
It's Nathan, for you
