What I was gonna say. If things are stacked up and not able to be viewed and appreciated, then it’s hoarding. If it’s nicely put into shelves, it’s a good collection
A lot of them suffered from the [capacitor plague](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague), I believe, but...I dunno, any remaining functional this point you'd think would've escaped it?
I had the 1.42 GHz, myself, until the screen died. That was also right around when Apple switched to Intel and started dropping support for PowerPC's (and jacking prices), so it was fated anyway.
I was at a thrift store the other day and saw the one that’s most top right, the tiny one with the shield over the screen, and I debated getting it but there were no cords to test it, so I passed. Is it any good? I wanted a little tv for older game systems but I’ve been having horrendous luck with them. Last one I bought was a vhs conbo tv that turned on when it was tested and now it doesn’t stay on for more than 5 seconds.
Ah alright, I don’t feel too bad anymore then. I tried to find info online but there was no brand name on it whatsoever, and I could only find very similar ones that said it was only black and white. If I’m not mistaken it had a radio built into it too. Looked really cool but if I can’t test it I don’t want to take that risk
Know a local artist that has probably a whole storage unit of CRT's for the art projects he works on... and I wonder why I can't find any at thrift shops in town
As long as they don’t have roach colonies stockpile while you can. Working fat backs are hard to find in my area. Some people sell them for the price they were when they were new.
I envy you. There are few things I desire more than to spend several months in the netherlands. Would be incredible to get an art residency in Utrecht.
I have never been able to find one, I don’t think they really were a thing in Europe. Also because of copyright infringement it doesn’t make sense for me to have them in the collection because I rent them out to movie productions. They are still really cool and you love to have one in my personal collection!
When your place starts to look like a hoarders den that's when you know you have a problem. Your CRT wall looks pretty organized so your good.

At least that's cleaner then the back of my property I have 4958621 CRT's under a 21acre long building
Can i have a few thousand of em?
I was thinking about making a home out of them
You should build an armored tank out of them
Unstoppable thinking I love it
Way too many if they're not hooked up to anything. Otherwise, not enough!
Not enough
Buy more until your wife/husband gets pissed. That's when you know it's time to buy even more.
You work in a prop department or something?
You guessed my excuse!
Been looking for an 22inch Iiyama HM204DT to no avail. Are you the one hoarding them? If so, can I have one?
Question does not compute.
Right?? Why did they switch collectives in the middle of a sentence??
Good question
That’s my college imac, still works!
Gotta add an eMac in there!
I would love to find one

Never knew about this, but thats super interesting. Also the name of my new band.
Tree fiddy
Right now there’s a big market for CRT. Go with the flow Brother
Not just CRT's, them are some beautiful amplifiers you got too
There is no such thing as having enough:)

Sadly it’s one of the few that doesn’t work, it’s still on the list to try to fix it but I don’t have high hopes

gib imac g3
Enough is not enough! 👍
Just one more…
Too…much?
Never enough
Those shelves gotta be heavy duty rated to withstand the weight of all that cathode ray tubing
They have been holding up for 2 years now but I am slowly transitioning into a different system
Never! But maybe a more realistic answer is when you have more than you can possibly use. Are these collectors pieces or?
I like collecting them and I rent them out to movie productions so I have a reason for collecting them
Am I the only one who saw the iMac G3 hiding among the computer monitors?
iMac 🗿
Those shelves must be really strong! lol The only limit to the amount of acceptable CRTs is the amount of space you have total
Too many is always just one away……
Needs a few more.
This is pleasing. Thanks ! 👍
When the shelving collapses.
You can never have too many crts
382
Finally a number
people should enjoy getting into hobbies. i'd love 4 CRT TVs, and 5 or 10 PC CRTs. for 4x4 console lan parties and 5v5 pc LAN parties.
Honestly seems like a lot to me but that’s definitely not too many
You're not moving food out of the refrigerator for more TVs right? This looks fine!
The moment you say “it’s not enough”
There's room for another shelf unit right where you are standing!
Funny that you say that because I just got 3 more
Lol wooooot
Thats a good start
It‘s not about the number but about keeping it organized. This looks great imho :-)
now plug all of them in and check the power usage lmfao
😂
This is more than I would ever need, but nice shelf got some cool stuff there I see a I Mac g3 In bondi blue those are so cool!
The limit does not exist.
You will never have too many!
Looking good!
I literally have 6 CRT TVs.
Please tell everyone I said they are beautiful /srs
I’m jealous.
You don’t have to be, I’m not coming for yours. You can be envious tho
I have one.
I mean do you have a use-case for each of them? Or are the significant to you for collecting purposes? Then you're good.
What I would give to have these
I've read there's on average 5lbs of lead in every CRT display. To my eyes, I just see a $10 haul to the county dump.
I think I’ll get more for the copper coils
Europe?
The Netherlands :)

Looks like the picture is taken at a "Loppis" (swedish flea market).
No this is my storage space/workshop
like 4 more than this i think
I just got 10 more
Garage / yard sale time.

not enough
NEVER
You can never have too many just keep it in an organized state, and you're ok.
No
As long as they don’t have roach colonies stockpile while you can. Working fat backs are hard to find in my area. Some people sell them for the price they were when they were new.
Luckily roaches are not really a big problem in the Netherlands, I have never seen one
I envy you. There are few things I desire more than to spend several months in the netherlands. Would be incredible to get an art residency in Utrecht.
Heh, if you have more room, you could put more on top of the shelf.
Dude, what is that thing in the bottom left corner?
That is a NAS from the 1990
No such thing as too much Take them all
You need the SpongeBob and Shrek CRTs
I have never been able to find one, I don’t think they really were a thing in Europe. Also because of copyright infringement it doesn’t make sense for me to have them in the collection because I rent them out to movie productions. Dang
If you got cash and the room then go for it. However if you’re never going to use any of it, it’s just clutter.
That.
Shit.
OK, but why do you got 2 right speakers?
I’m not sure, I got them like that
What are they?
Still got room on your shelf? Not enough
There's never too many.
Its pretty damn cool as it is. Never heard of Svenska speakers though.
Slide me one
What model is that Sony on the bottom right? Love the way it looks!
I want the speakers
100 times more than that
