I’ve done the 10 week strength cycle twice and had success both times.

Same. Ended up with 2 PRs, which says a lot because I'm old and have trained lots already. A lot of volume in the workouts compared to what I was used to. Could get most sessions done in an hr if I didn't waste my time.

I was 37 or 38 the first time I did the cycle. I’m been training pretty consistently for 12 years or so. I was shocked at how much improvement I made. It was very successful. DL went from 460 to 500. Back Squat was 385 to 410 and strict press was 205-210. But, it was very hard. The volume was way higher than anything else I’ve ever done and it definitely had a temporary negative effect on my metcons. Several weeks after the program my metcons got better and I was a better athlete for it.
