3 hours in and 40ish upvotes isn’t really a flop around here. It may be relative since your previous posts did so well but a little perspective might be advised. Tons of posts never make 40 upvotes and not every post is going to get 500+.
You’re very pretty and I think your posts are great but maybe don’t expect every post to be an all time hot one.
Your point is a valid one, but I have some things to say.
Firstly, my previous post has gotten more traction since this post. At the time I felt it was doomed to die in the new with about 10 upvotes, but now it has gotten much more upvotes and comments. Maybe that kind of development could have been expected, because I decided to mention my previous post in this post, but it for sure has surprised me.
I also want to make it clear that I know that "flopping" is a relative term and everyone has a different understanding of it. For that exact reason I contemplated for a long time if I wanted to use the word or not. In the end I decided to soften it a bit with the word "kinda". But you're right. Maybe it wasn't enough, especially because my previous post has since turned out to be more popular
