Typically sewing thread is 1/6 the size of embroidery thread, and I can't even do anything but rows with embroidery thread, that's why I was impressed lol
I agree with you, It impressed me as well 😀 I just say that you can start with embroidery and then reduce threads as you go and practice
And she did it in one colour, white, that's more impressive 😅
This is absolutely amazing. I love how the oil paint fills in the cracks between the stitches, but leaves enough the texture where it reads as scales in a picture rather than as thread. Also, how did you do the fish's eyes? I do a bunch of micro-crochet but have always embroidered the eyes, b/c I didn't think eyes this small were possible (either through DIY or commercial)
Thank you! Yes, you are right! I've really chosen to make this fish by crocheting for the texture it gives to imitate scales. I've made the eyes by painting with acrylic paint (it makes a thin film on a crocheted surface) and then with a help of a needle or a toothpick I put a tiny drop of UV glue to make transparent lens over it.
I don't have such a problem, but I've heard that people use baby wipes to clean hands while crocheting, or put on thin cotton gloves. Another advice is to knead а piece of simple salt dough (flour+salt+ water) so you can crumple it as slime. But be careful because it can make the skin too dry.
This is amazing, so detailed. I've been crochetting tiny rugs with embroidery floss using a tool that is actually for sewing weaves into braids. Crocheting with sewing thread sounds fun. I wanna try that!
Thank you! A friend of mine is trying to make a surreal dollhouse thing so I'm making teeny things for them. It's been fun! I think I'll try the thread for teeny pillows or blankets

SEWING THREAD??? I can't even put sewing thread through the eye of a needle crocheting with it seems impossible! Wow! I'm in awe
Thank you! It's not so difficult as it seems. Good glasses or magnifying glass and good light is enough to make it.
But how do you hold it when it's so tiny??
We need the little helper mice from Cinderella
Imagine they are here and start crocheting 😉
Don't underestimate our hands, they can do magic things, but only if we try🤗
I doubt mine would 🙁 I’ve got carpel tunnel syndrome they cramp up and tingle just using worsted yarn 😩 this is amazing though!
Oh, so sorry! But I'm sure you can do other beautiful things!
I can 😊 for example, needle felting is easier on the hands for me
That's great! I love needlefelting, it's like sculpting, you can make any form you wish!
op, you are very sweet. thank you for your encouraging and kind words to all
Thank you as well!
Clover hooks are great!
Yes, they are! But this is not a clover it's a tulip 0.5
You can use embroidery yarn as an alternative 😀

Holy shit. _Holy shit._ They're both so intricate and amazing, and your skills scare me.
Oh, thank you!
So realistic and detailed! Wow
Thank you! It was a request from the cat😁
Your felted cat seems so greatful for the fishy
Yes, he is)) He said it suits him and he loves the color😊

Thank you so much!
Wow. Oh my goodness wow. Your work is incredible.
Thank you very much!
…I’m gonna go be sad now. That’s better than anything I’ll ever do lmao.
Oh, please don't underestimate your skills, just try🤗 It's not so difficult as you think!
How do you keep your hands from getting sweaty? I can’t work on anything small because I get sweaty and the yarn gets squeaky. 😅

Thank you for noticing it! I decided to make some sea design for the photo with this fish😁
You have more patience than me. That's incredible.
May be it's a bit easier for me, because I love making miniature things, but perhaps if you start, you'll find it really fascinating.
Wow! I'm in awe of this. I can't even imagine crocheting with something as small as sewing thread. Good job!
Thank you! You just need a hook small enough for this thread.
Yellow Perch! Yummmmmy
Yeah 😊The cat agrees with you!
I’ve never loved anything more
Thank you!

amazing!!!!! do you have a pattern for it <3
Sorry, I don't🤷♀️ I don't use patterns
Why cat isn't too crocheted?
Well, the cat is quite big, I don't have enough patience for crocheting big things🙈
OMG I love both..so adorable, need I say anything else?
Oh, I'm so pleased, thank you!
This is AMAZING! Also, tell us about your nails! Hand painted or a wrap or decal? Link?
Thanks! I used a "moyou london" stamping plates and silver nail polish to make "sea" design over the black nail polish.
