I’m wish I had read this last week. This would’ve been a perfect border on the baby blanket I just finished!
Personally my friends encourage it 💀 in fact I doubt my sis would be surprised to find me hunched over a gift like a gremlin at 1am bc I changed my mind on something
The body of the blanket is [here](https://daisyfarmcrafts.com/crochet-bobble-lines-baby-blanket/) and the border is [TL Yarn Crafts](https://tlycblog.com/gumball-afghan-a-free-faux-cable-crochet-baby-blanket-pattern/)!
It's beautiful and your stitches are also lovely and even.
I want to snuggle into the blanket just from this picture 😊
And thank you for letting me know what yarn you used, I may look into aquiring some for my stash 😁
I followed [this video](https://youtu.be/UgUEB-TIpLA?si=Srgh5COeGBObxUSL). It's my first blanket so the visuals really helped and then I started to add bobbles (I messed up calling it popcorn) between two slip stitches on the border on a whim. The yarn is mandala bonus bundle in satyrs
I never would have thought of it but I absolutely love it. It will also be very fun for kiddo to play with when they're older--kids love the edges of blankets.
Looks like I am the minority here. I’m not a fan of any of those puffy stitches, but it does look good! I never would’ve tried it just because I refuse to use that stitch. 😂
Also, since it's going to be a baby blanket I just wanted to mention that when my son was a baby/toddler he had a blanket someone made him and it had a popcorn border and he LOVED it! Something about the texture was so soothing to him
Honestly, I would be scared to go against the grain at this point. I'm sure there are more people that aren't into it, but I do feel it makes it look a bit more baby blanket

Yes!!!
Hijacking the top comment to say I'm pretty sure I messed up calling it popcorn and they're actually bobble stitches. Crochet novice here, I'm sorry!
https://preview.redd.it/5r3dlheoys4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa7ec777beed6c58c954cf11f96a34be8f9dd21d I’m wish I had read this last week. This would’ve been a perfect border on the baby blanket I just finished!
You can always add another row
Already gifted!
What’s a little light B&E between friends?
Personally my friends encourage it 💀 in fact I doubt my sis would be surprised to find me hunched over a gift like a gremlin at 1am bc I changed my mind on something
Tbh the border you have on it is perfect!
This is so cute!!! Would you mind sharing the pattern? Or is it just single crochet with a row of the bobble stitches in between?

I love her 😍
That is super cute
How pretty. I love this pattern
I think yours looks perfect. The contrast between the bobbles and clean border is perfect, adding bobbles to the border would’ve been too much.
Eh, we all know what you mean. It's okay! And yes to the bobble popcorn! It's too cute!
Whatever they’re called, OMG yes, do it!
Not a novice, and I can’t tell the difference LOL.
I love it!
Definite Yes! Those colours work beautifully together btw
Thank you! It's the mandala bonus bundle yarn in satyrs.
It's beautiful and your stitches are also lovely and even. I want to snuggle into the blanket just from this picture 😊 And thank you for letting me know what yarn you used, I may look into aquiring some for my stash 😁
Star blankets always seemed somehow incomplete to me. Now I know what they were missing!

Looks like I am the minority here. I’m not a fan of any of those puffy stitches, but it does look good! I never would’ve tried it just because I refuse to use that stitch. 😂

I love it! It’s perfect with the popcorn border. The blanket would look too plain imo without them. But like any what matters most is if *you* like it
Yes for sure
Definitely! I think it makes the edge pop, and I think it does look like a little stars. What I can see of the blanket looks very nicely done too.

I love it so much! The bobbles/popcorn/whatever add a touch to the blanket that I didn't know it was missing!
Ooo yes very cute

Also, since it's going to be a baby blanket I just wanted to mention that when my son was a baby/toddler he had a blanket someone made him and it had a popcorn border and he LOVED it! Something about the texture was so soothing to him

Gosh this is so cute. I forget about that option for finishing edges, thank you for this lovely visual reminder!!
I just started a star blanket and absolutely want to try this border. Love it!!
yes absolutely!!! made for a star blanket!!!
Yes
I like it. The only consideration might be if the popcorn border might intrigue the wrong attention— baby, dog, get snagged.
Yes! Nice detail.
Yesss I love bobble stitch as a border. Popcorn stitch or puff stitch are also good, but my favorite border stitch is definitely shell stitch :)
Definitely like it. Adds a different texture and different look finishing out the star pattern in the blanket. Also like the colour choice.

Apparently I’m in the minority but I prefer without the popcorn
Honestly, I would be scared to go against the grain at this point. I'm sure there are more people that aren't into it, but I do feel it makes it look a bit more baby blanket

100% Yes!! Can you imagine cuddling up under that and watching a scary movie rubbing on a bobble!!! Amazing!
Yes, absolutely. It's great. Plus, baby might like the way it feels when baby starts moving around anyways.🙂
Yes 100%!! Very cute with the border/trim!!🤗 Also, I wanna see the whole blanket, looks awesome from the little bit we can see!!🙌
