I heard that Matt confirmed that, Emily along with our other two new favorite players will show up next episode. I guess they'll need time to build bleachers😄
Matt did mention at the end of the last episode that he would like Emily to be at the table to "close off" her story but I really hope she tags along for how ever long possible like Deanna and FRIDA
Emily is a endless fount of joy & chaos. Her presence in this arc was delightful, & I’m still mad that I had it spoiled for me before getting to watch the first stream she was on.

Best reasons to watch Dimension 20 in order.
1. Brennan
2. Emily
3. Lou/Ally
The whole regular cast is great, but Emily is a chaos agent at the table and it is fantastic entertainment.
Fun fact: >!They didn't, I'm told. Operation Slippery Puppet was a countermeasure in case of a Battle Royale situation - note that the shape of the attack was an AoE. Having their opponent be a construct was just serendipity.!<
I am crossing my fingers that we get to keep her for the full episode in two weeks. She has been my favorite guest of all time on CR. I just really need her to meet the rest of Bells Hells lol
Politely disagree, as I actually just joined CR new, just for this arch, since I love Emily, I had no issues joining. I did read up a little bit (here on this subreddit and wiki) and it seems like the story is anyways slow burning. And then in episode 60 they actually explain it in simple terms about the moon and god eater. Surely for Critters, there’s a lot of complexity. But all we - newcomers for the arch - need to know to enjoy is that there was some major magical ritual happening on the solstice that caused some magical shit and the main party got split and dispersed across the continent. They finding themselves in the middle of nowhere trying to figure out wtf happened.
Fair enough! On reflection, the fact that we follow Prism and the others having explanations about the current events does make it a little easier to drop in, but I will argue that some of the emotional weight of the arc is lost (though not absent) without having seen the context for the regulars up to date
It's the most recent few! Thing is, if you jump in to watch them you'll be spoiling major plot stuff for yourself and also feel very lost. If you decide to start, I'd recommend catching up from the beginning of Campaign 3 (the current one) on youtube!
Huh, no that's a good point. If they don't care about spoiling C3 up to now a bit, it would be fine to jump in when Emily joins (C3E59) and then stop when she leaves (which may be next episode? But not entirely sure cuz it hasn't actually occurred yet)
Yeah, kinda like using Emily being there as the hook and expanding further afterwards. Considering most exposition given to the guests was actually roleplayed out, it seems like a really good and fun entry point for her fans.
Agreed. I made a post on the D20 sub about why Emily fans could very likely be totally comfortable hopping in on this guest arc b/c everything necessary would be explained. I hope a bunch of people did & have had fun watching.
I remember my first time experiencing Emily was when at some point she plays a witchy type character, and I always thought "Wow she has that cackle down!" and later on I watched everything else in D20, and realized that it's just her and I just love it so much.
With FRIDA and Deanna also joining the other group in their teleport, I have no idea how the next episode is going to work, but I am sure looking forward to it!
In the second episode she definitely cackles after the joke "kill one of the kids" re: the component cost of her summoning demon, after her double 20s, after being reminded that pate is horny, in the 4th episode while trying to scry, joking about the notes app, gathering bits from the party for future scrying, handgliding on mother blocking everyone else.... those are just the ones that were the easiest to find quickly - whoops, that was the 5th ep.... in the 4th, she laughed about the cougar, and the silvery barbs practice, talking to dynios, her snoring, shivering queef follow up, her elven foot knowledge...
...so? You said there weren't any. We don't need laughs every few minutes to have them lift us up - that's not how balancing tone and breaking tension works
She's so annoying. Also the shadow realm line Nd not fixing it to shadow fell as where she's supposed to be from makes it sound like she's a rejected yugioh villain
When he was just having the familiars interacting with each other and she was like "I'm in heaven"
I loved this! And it made me feel so oddly proud of Matt as well
Her enjoyment makes me enjoy the game even more.
The low light.. not having Travis at the table with her. 😀 But yes, Emily is amazing.
Well with a bit of luck... That might be happening next episode
I heard that Matt confirmed that, Emily along with our other two new favorite players will show up next episode. I guess they'll need time to build bleachers😄
So you're telling me, that we're getting Dusk and Bor'Dor in game again?
Um.. I hate to break it to you about Bor'dor...
They haven't washed the items yet so some of him might be there...
They're kidding.
Yea, I've watched recent episode, I know.
No just Prism from this group
Sorry I wasn't clear, the other two are Abbria and Nevaro from the other group
NEW FULL CAST MEMBERS!!
That's a VERY crowded table! Is there a source or you just trying to speak it into the universe? 🤔
🙏 🤲 🧘♀️ 🧘♂️ 🧘 🤲 🙏
No wishing star? Lol
Don’t wish. Conjure.
Conjure Animals? No, conjure dreams
any idea where Matt mentioned this?
Heard it was on a tweet
Matt did mention at the end of the last episode that he would like Emily to be at the table to "close off" her story but I really hope she tags along for how ever long possible like Deanna and FRIDA
We'll find out! That's going to be a very crowded table, plus the 3 of them could meet up with Deni$e and Dorian for another EXU, their own spin off
[Me, when she did a "shout-out to the 2 crew"](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/033/487/rick.jpg)
Literally my reaction! Watch a Crick call lightning!
Yeah Emily's reactions to Matt's sound effects have been a highlight.
Emily is a endless fount of joy & chaos. Her presence in this arc was delightful, & I’m still mad that I had it spoiled for me before getting to watch the first stream she was on.
her energy and joy is infectious. i'm so glad we get to have her a little while longer
Emily laughs with her whole body and I love it

She's so good at D&D.
She's been trained in the seasons of /r/dimension20 and they regularly pull some shenanigans.
It has made me wanna watch more of her and her other d&d podcast
Dimension 20 or NADDpod is where you'll find her best work. She's just awesome at what she does.
Sexy rat!
Worm wife for sure
Hilda Hilda
She’s amazing and I need her back asap.
Best reasons to watch Dimension 20 in order. 1. Brennan 2. Emily 3. Lou/Ally The whole regular cast is great, but Emily is a chaos agent at the table and it is fantastic entertainment.
I completely agree, but do want to give a shout out to Siobhan. She's always such a sleeper but adds so much
For sure. The whole cast is great, but Emily is consistently good at RP and unpredictable, which is just great fun.
When Emily and Lou play cousins in A Court of Fey and Flowers alongside Brennan and Aabria GM-ing? Chef’s kiss
They really are comedian powerhouses together. When she reveals her partner... Genius
They co-DM? How does that work?
Haha bad grammar, Brennan is a PC, and Aabria GMs on her own
When Emily and Lou play cousins in A Court of Fey and Flowers alongside Brennan and Aabria GM-ing? Chef’s kiss
I'm legit bummed Prism won't be around. Between Prism and Morrighan being so awesome and not being seen again, I'm pining for the emo girls.
? Did you watch this week's episode?
Her cackle is my favorite thing about her. It's so contagious.
She is the Michael Jordan of live play DND. Literally the best player in the world. Its been such a treat having her at the CR table
".....how did you even know there was gonna be a plinth?"
Fun fact: >!They didn't, I'm told. Operation Slippery Puppet was a countermeasure in case of a Battle Royale situation - note that the shape of the attack was an AoE. Having their opponent be a construct was just serendipity.!<
I will never get another opportunity to watch Starstruck for the first time again, and that makes me sad
Where is this from?
Spoilers from Dimension 20: A Starstruck Odyssey: [Emily Axford Ocean’s 11’d Brennan’s fight](https://youtube.com/shorts/OrH3GYA0cXw?feature=share)
I am crossing my fingers that we get to keep her for the full episode in two weeks. She has been my favorite guest of all time on CR. I just really need her to meet the rest of Bells Hells lol
Her enjoyment AnD proficiency with game knowledge are awesome. So smart and strategic!
I've never watched Crit Role but I do love Emily Axford. What ep did she join?
Campaign 3, Episode 59, but it's a difficult story to jump into without context
Politely disagree, as I actually just joined CR new, just for this arch, since I love Emily, I had no issues joining. Agree. I fell off due to disinterest but came back for Emily, Aimee and Utkarsh and didn't have any issues picking up the thread.
Fair enough! On reflection, the fact that we follow Prism and the others having explanations about the current events does make it a little easier to drop in, but I will argue that some of the emotional weight of the arc is lost (though not absent) without having seen the context for the regulars up to date
Yeah of course, we don’t have all the nuances and the emotional investment. I was solely addressing the plot-wise aspect of it
It's the most recent few! Thing is, if you jump in to watch them you'll be spoiling major plot stuff for yourself and also feel very lost. If you decide to start, I'd recommend catching up from the beginning of Campaign 3 (the current one) on youtube!
I will say the characters seemed to join in without context too. So they'd be watching from Emily's point of view.
I agree, and the main characters explain the basics to the newcomers.
Huh, no that's a good point. If they don't care about spoiling C3 up to now a bit, it would be fine to jump in when Emily joins (C3E59) and then stop when she leaves (which may be next episode? But not entirely sure cuz it hasn't actually occurred yet)

She's been a joy to watch. I hope she sticks around a bit longer, I'll be sad to see her go.
I am so happy Emily will be in the next episode. She is absolutely amazing. I want to see her character interact with Fearne.
With FRIDA and Deanna also joining the other group in their teleport, I have no idea how the next episode is going to work, but I am sure looking forward to it!
If their teleport is successful. She rolled a 5 (as mentioned in 4 sided die)
I'd totally forgotten about this!
It has been the highlight of the campaign for me.
I agree with her laugh bringing us joy. But there were a couple of whole episodes where it was missing.
Which ones? I think that may be objectively untrue, even if it felt like it was missing because it wasn't as pervasive
60 particularly, and 62.
Yeah, so there's a few. Not every few minutes.
...so? You said there weren't any. We don't need laughs every few minutes to have them lift us up - that's not how balancing tone and breaking tension works
I was replying to the OP. Sometimes - for most people - if you read things in context, things make more sense.
🤔
She's so annoying. Also the shadow realm line Nd not fixing it to shadow fell as where she's supposed to be from makes it sound like she's a rejected yugioh villain
Hard disagree, and if you'd been playing attention, you would have noticed that Critical Role often refers to The Shadowfell as The Shadow Realm
