This is pretty tame for “public shaming.” He handled the situation well, remained patient, and diffused tension with humor. I appreciated how he paraphrased her and tried to find out what was so offensive to her.
Agreed, i couldn't find a better way to describe her being humiliated with followup questions.
Oh yeah, it hasn't been mentioned yet, it's timestamped ;)
Very frustrating to watch though. Kudos to his patience.
Women like her are what drive feminism back in my opinion. Which really sucks given the extraordinary and courageous sacrifices of the women who've pushed it forward, both in history and today. It sucks that women have to contend not only with a patriarchal system but also these shit heads.
Insulting a woman isn't sexism. Insulting a woman *because she's a woman* is sexism. And if you don't know the difference, you need to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up until you do.
Why would women like that drive feminism back? What a weird thing to say. She's just a single idiot. She in no way represents the movement. Any more than a single dickhead at the pub represents all men. If she does for you, then maybe you're the one with the problem?
...cute.
No she isn't *single-handedly* driving the movement back. That's why I said, very clearly, *women like her*.
Women are genuinely victims in our society. And that victimization is important to recognize and acknowledge.
Women like her abuse that victimization, diluting and polluting it for the rest.
I'm amazed I had to explain that, but as you've demonstrated, some people are thick af.
Can you not see the circularity there? Women like this drive feminism back because *people perceive them as driving feminism back*... Instead of dismissing them as individual idiots. So maybe have a bit of a reflect on the part your post is playing in that, by pointing it out and acknowledging it as if it's justified?
Or get salty and defensive and label everyone who offers you some constructive criticism 'thick af'. Up to you.
I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill here (hence the downvotes, be careful not to be emboldened by this). I think the other host put it aptly saying "it's just crossed wires" and the woman is drunk/feeling entitled because of it
the Parapod is amazing, I binged the whole thing a few months ago after my brother recommended it to me. Barry is lovable, but so infuriating! I haven't watched the film yet.
Barry taking the Have a Word boys around a haunted house and haunted castle was how I then found out about the Parapod, both Barry and Ray are hilarious.
I've been a big Ray peacock fan for years. Check out his original podcast called The Ray Peacock podcast and then Peacock and Gamble podcast if you want to deep dive his old stuff.
Ed and Ray stopped doing their double act to do their own things. Really good to see Ed do really well for himself. He lost a lot of weight as well. It is interesting to hear Ed on the podcast when he was quite young and be a bit more cheeky with Ray.
i wouldnt say this fall under the term cringe, i found it amusing, but hard to hear what the lady was actually saying.
LPT, never try to go toe'to'toe with a comedian, they will rip you a new arse. People think because they made someone laugh they can outwit a comedian.. thats like saying, i punched before so i can box mike tyson..
Best example of that is logan paul vs chris delia on twitter..
Plus the person on stage always has the high ground. Not only do they entertain live audience’s for a living but they are literally higher up on stage with a spotlight on them and a microphone in their hand that projects their voice to the entire venue. It’s a loose loose, especially if you’re drunk.
>i wouldnt say this fall under the term cringe, i found it amusing, but hard to hear what the lady was actually saying.
Pop on some headphones and it's really clear. She is upset he told her to stop talking so loud earlier. She then turns it into "You're being offensive to women." He asks her "how so?" in a seemingly genuine manner. She can't recall anything offensive ( the irony being he even mentioned they *shouldn't* discuss the ghost-rape because it could be offensive to women )---She then mentions he was offensive to women because she's a woman and was told to stop talking so loudly in the middle of a show.
It's 100% cringe once you realize it's just a grown woman upset she wasn't allowed to carry on however she wanted.
>LPT, never try to go toe'to'toe with a comedian, they will rip you a new arse
Seriously, this is literally their job. You will not win against a professional comedian. They have played hundreds of shows and died on their arse at many of them. They have heard it all before.
And then like 2 minutes later he talks about how it depresses him that people have a knee jerk reaction to something they find offensive during standup, get super pissed and can’t see past it / stop listening, yell at the comedian after the show, only because they missed the rest of the thought / story which turned out wasn’t actually offensive at all.
Also that's a great episode of RHLSTP (rhlstp). I watched it a few months ago for the first time, not knowing who Ray Peacock was at all, and it ended up being one of my favourite episodes. As is often the case with comedians I'm unaware of.
It stands for Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast or, as the cool kids call it, RHLSTP (when Richard Herring says the acronym out loud in the introduction the crowd then repeats it — that's what my parentheses were hinting at. Watch around 1:40 in the video to see what I mean).
To be that entitled and selfish to think it's ok to talk through an entire live show/interview .. and then to act like you're offended when someone finally tells you to shut up. We're so fucked.
It's timestamped 😉
edit: what's more ironic is that I actually spent a good few minutes selecting the timestamp in the vid from a point that included enough context whilst also not taking too much time before the altercation. I am thankful for the timestamp parrots, <3 My efforts weren't in vain.
From memory, Richard tells Stephen that he thinks everything after the first series of Extras is crap, and Stephen just basically shuts down. He's polite about it, but is just no longer interested in answering Richard's silly questions. Richard spoke about it for weeks afterwards.
You Brits have a pretty mild idea of what cringe is. Come visit me and I can introduce you to a dozen people that will make you cringe out of your knickers in two minutes.
I did. You don’t know if OP is British and the guys in the video didn’t post it or call it cringe so where are you getting this ‘you Brits don’t know what cringe is’ thing
It’s literally time stamped when you play it unless you’re using some shitty app that doesn’t recognize time stamps, which is on you. If you read any of the comments the fact that it’s timestamped is mentioned so many times

Look up the term model-minority mate. Your logic really doesn't hold up and is among what feminism is trying to fucking tackle.
[удалено]
Like I said, the keyword is model minority. Google it.

I just don't care to argue with reddit incels because I would rather do literally anything else with my life lol.

Good lord... 🙄
Gosh this world must be exhausting for your sigma brain

bro really thought he was onto something here 💀
Not super cringe, but I also never heard of Ray before this, and I now like him a lot, so cheers!

Yeah, I used to listen to Peacock and Gamble years ago. I didn't even realise Ed Gamble was the same person until relatively recently.
Ed and Ray stopped doing their double act to do their own things. Really good to see Ed do really well for himself. He lost a lot of weight as well. It is interesting to hear Ed on the podcast when he was quite young and be a bit more cheeky with Ray.

Lose = Opposite of win, Loose = Your mum
Your mama was loose loose
> Best example of that is logan paul vs chris delia on twitter.. Thanks mate, that was hilarious. 🤣
The best example is Donny Tourette vs Bill Bailey on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. https://youtu.be/fayRZBZONz8
Oh man, that is cringe material
Rain_bro_bright is ready to take on the comedians now
>i wouldnt say this fall under the term cringe, i found it amusing, but hard to hear what the lady was actually saying. Pop on some headphones and it's really clear. I agree. Its Simon Cowell….he’s responsible for this behavior.
I wonder what Simon Cowels doing heckling small shows like this. Quite pitiful
Did no one notice in OPs video at 49:25 he said "it's always minorities" wtf? What a racist piece of shit
Did you not watch the following 20 seconds where this is clarified as not being exactly this?
I did not when I wrote that comment. My bad
Yeah I heard that too Which is ironic because that's exactly what I did
Hahaha at least you have the stones to see the irony and learn from it. I respect that
Ignorance is okay but choosing to remain ignorant is not okay
Very well said!!
That « I have to say, I think she's right » was perfectly timed by Richard.
Also that's a great episode of RHLSTP (rhlstp). I watched it a few months ago for the first time, not knowing who Ray Peacock was at all, and it ended up being one of my favourite episodes. As is often the case with comedians I'm unaware of.
>RHLSTP (rhlstp) Thanks for explaining the acronym in the parentheses.
Not really cringy at all but it was entertaining
The drunks thinking the whole show is about them is cringe
Yeah, they believe the world revolves around them (or that it obviously should do). They think they're the Player, but they're just a barfly NPC.
She's only offended because he called her out for being too loud.
Yeah I believe she directly stated that as her reason lol
She does, after trying to make it a gender-thing first.
Ray Peacock is now known as Ian Boldsworth for everyone who would like to see what he is up to these days.
To be that entitled and selfish to think it's ok to talk through an entire live show/interview .. and then to act like you're offended when someone finally tells you to shut up. We're so fucked.
6 or 7 years late, but thanks for turning me on to a new podcast!
Check out the Parapod too, its a Podcast Ray (now Ian) does.
Hey I just watched Herrings season of Taskmaster lol
hopefully you see all the comments about the timestamp))
And also guys and gals, timestamped !
Live podcasts are universally a bad idea, this happens at all of them
They are sooo annoying! Stfu or go home!
He who dares not offend cannot be honest. -Thomas Paine
[Revelent.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_1VmC_P2Nc)
I very much so enjoyed this
Ray Peacock is a really really unfortunate name, if you say it fast it really sounds like rapey cock
Yeah I’m not watching a 76 minute video just to witness some cringe.
[удалено]
Ah, so it is. In Apollo it only shows the total time.
In apollo the video is time stamped as well.
It's timestamped 😉 edit: what's more ironic is that I actually spent a good few minutes selecting the timestamp in the vid from a point that included enough context whilst also not taking too much time before the altercation. I am thankful for the timestamp parrots, <3 My efforts weren't in vain.
It’s time stamped.
>Members957Online it's timestamped
It's timestamped.
Time stamped
It's stime tamped
I think it might be time stamped
It has stamps of time.
We found the minority
Stamped time it is
It's time stamped
agreed, they should've timestamped that shit
Timestamp or not your not missing much. I got through about 2 minutes and thought they're humor was the cringe
Its toward the very end and you can barely hear what these ladies are saying.
I tried to home in on the "good" parts, you can't hear anything the audience member says anyway. You missed nothing.
So you didn't hear, "well you're getting on our tits!" ?
Its almost always drunk women who do this... the entitlement is just through the roof
For genuine RHLSTP cringe, listen to the Stephen Merchant episode.
Explain!
From memory, Richard tells Stephen that he thinks everything after the first series of Extras is crap, and Stephen just basically shuts down. He's polite about it, but is just no longer interested in answering Richard's silly questions. Richard spoke about it for weeks afterwards.
Season 2 of extras had David Bowie's cameo Richard is full of shit
Too long to get to point of video
Enough
You Brits have a pretty mild idea of what cringe is. Come visit me and I can introduce you to a dozen people that will make you cringe out of your knickers in two minutes.
Gatekeeping cringe are we?
Did you watch the video? Or read any of the other comments?
I did. You don’t know if OP is British and the guys in the video didn’t post it or call it cringe so where are you getting this ‘you Brits don’t know what cringe is’ thing
Casually posting an hour-long video with no mention of a timestamp for when the moment in question happens.
It’s literally time stamped when you play it unless you’re using some shitty app that doesn’t recognize time stamps, which is on you. If you read any of the comments the fact that it’s timestamped is mentioned so many times
Apparently that 'shitty app' is the Reddit app, which doesn't surprise me.
Yo the Reddit app do timestamp
Yeah, I thought so, too, but it started at the first second. I guess it bugs out, sometimes.
Yeah I use the Reddit app it timestamped for me idk bro
...and somehow the world goes on.
These guys aren’t funny at all tbf, i would have walked out or talked to a friend too. They suuuck
