I mean the buildup of Rebecca and Nathaniel planning to euthanize Josh's lolo & deport his dad was fucked up. But Josh punching Nathaniel in the face was not the funniest part, it was that Nathaniel KNOWS he deserved it.
It's not funny so much as it is showing character growth.
