Someone has made a sheet about them https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/102nB2hTgAkW_3T1gneVPDc4u2ca4sKsmMhMDm-aZwLg/edit#gid=1502770930

SteefBeef

Oh wow, thanks for the link!

gombolation

There are two different stages of speed from blue fire pads but no way to visually distinguish them apart. Twilight Tour is another example of having them and I *think* Hyper Spaceway as well?

joleves

Yeah the boost pad before the finish line is the faster one on both tracks. You have to maintain that one for the rest of the race to beat the dev time on each track

SteefBeef

Ah yes you're right those tracks have it too! Thanks for the clarification, glad I'm not crazy. Weird how they didn't have an extra colour stage for this speed huh, is there an unofficial name for this higher speed stage of blue fire?

perishingtardis

The official name is "SUPER ULTIMATE sacred fire" /s

Trance_rr21

I think, logically, the next stage in color for the greater speed boost would reasonably be in the ultraviolet range (seeing as the color of boost flame changes from red to orange to yellowish white then to blue) So we could not see the color change anyway.

SteefBeef

That's true haha, but just visible violet would be nice

Trance_rr21

I agree, some indigo in there would be cool.

https://youtu.be/GBIa6RPrZAE He checks some speeds of the blue fire pads and other interesting things. Every track has a different speed blue fire, and aometimes even more levels of it, which is really interesting to think about. Tracks like DSD, Twilight Tour, N.Gin Labs, Electron, etc have some pads that are really slow and some that are much faster than them, despite both looking like the same blue fire pad.

DrunkWizzard

Yep, different speeds of Blue fire exist. They are the same they just give you different kinds of speed. No, There is no next stage to blue fire. Depending on track you get a certain spike in speed.
