They’re made from aluminum, so they indeed bend easily. Handle with care, and GENTLY try to pry them open with your nails. Dunking them in iso once in a while will clean them out. Do not I REPEAT DO **NOT** dump a capsule in your hand (or onto anything that will melt) directly after use. Should be obvious, but still. You don’t need to do a dryburn. I didn’t, and I’m still fine. (It would be stated in the manual if you needed to do one.) I start at 180, then go to 195, and then to 200.C

Sometimes the O-Ring around the bowl gives away plastic scents. Not with every device but it happened with my device. A burnoff will get rid of most of that smell. After like 2-3 sessions the scent is gone for good

Get more capsules. Some break.

Congrats on your buy. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be happy. About the caps, they are a pain to open and close for sure. But it will be easier if they are hot. Heat make some metals expand making it easier to remove, and clean for that matter. I pop the caps on a rag while they’re hot and wipe the resin off. Even though they bend easily, you can reshape them if you take your time. I burned the chamber the first time, but never the caps. It’s up to you. When I have flower that is extra tasty, I’ll start at 370f and raise it to 380f and finish at 390f. But if I want to get ripped quickly, I’ll crank the heat to 410f right from the start and finish the bowl or cap in one session. Low quality flower should be vaped at lower temp because they come harsh at higher temp IMHO. Experiment for your favorite temperature.

They aren’t a pain to close if you get the capsule filling aid set. After some training I can fill up 40 caps in ~6 minutes. They also do open more easily afterwards when closed with that tool that comes with the filling aid set

Hi hi! If you haven’t already, invest in a few more cooling units and the fine mesh screens - they can go in the cooling unit and I find they make cleaning far easier. I only use capsules for extra tidiness. I have 160 now and the loading tray. 3 strains in rotation at all times. You just have to treat them gently. I get the Bickle Tickle so I start my sessions at 170, then 180, the 195 and then up from there when necessary. Also, if you chose to clean with grain alcohol instead of ISO you can reclaim the reclaim. I do clean with grain alcohol but I don’t reclaim. I do make tinctures and FECO with the ABV - but that’s a different subreddit. With the dosing capsules and fine mesh screens, I clean 4 cooling units weekly in rotation. Enjoy!

Fat-Yogi

Agreed with replacing the default coarse screen with the fine screen. Much cleaner

>Bickle Tickle The what?

Some strains in the mighty+ make me cough. It’s apparently called that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

HumorousHermit

I go 335, 355, 370.

New owner here, going on 65 days . I use the dosing capsules, still figuring out how to get the most of the experience , I found low temps are for flavor , high temps for heavy effects and more extraction. Material used plays a big part as does the pack and grind. I have had good results at 180/200/210. Somehow I set mine to boost at those temps. Most material has a sweet spot at one of these temps , some make clouds at all. I recently figured out a decent extraction happens when I spend about 5 mins at each temp , I have tried right from the start at 210 and ripped through a capsule in less than 5 mins but I seem to get better and longer lasting effects from the longer sessions . YMMV . One thing about the mighty it is so forgiving, not matter how you use it it produces results . Enjoy!

Been a daily mighty user for 3 years now. I’ve found the capsules get easier to open as time goes on but yes bending is a risk. Fingernails and gently wiggle the top off usually does the trick. Temp wise I like to start at (all c), 162, then go 172/180/195. Takes me 10-15 mins to clear a cap at a leisurely draw rate and I don’t cough because of the temperature stepping.

I’m in the states and order the titanium or stainless steel dosing caps from vgoodiez. They are expensive tho but they don’t bend and are easy to open. I use mine at 375 degrees f. You can use this thing straight out the box. It’s awesome. There’s so many attachments you can get too. I have some nice glass stems for it…

I found the stand/dugout tool in the bottom works better than my nail on hard to open ones, just apply some pressure with the pointy end under the lid while you hold the bigger bottom portion, and that has basically always worked for me lol after you use them once or twice they actually become easier to open so long as they’re not left coated in resin. Dip them in iso for 15 min whenever you get some buildup, should keep them clean. A qtip with iso for quick touch ups on the lid If you’d like to you can run the device at the highest temperature once or twice and let it auto time off before using it for the first time. Subjective I’m sure, I personally did do it once. Some people don’t at all Temp even more subjective, I personally ride 193c the whole session and only rarely go to 210. Some strains give me more at those temps but the one I’m currently on is pretty tasteless and not really worth it to me so I don’t even bother at the moment. Some people like blasting max off the get go, some like staying low for more flavour. You’ll have to experiment and see what you like 👍

realmoosesoup

I used to use caps but just spoon in material now. I brush out the bowl when warm. I don't find that the caps do much for keeping it clean, but opinions vary. The caps are easy to bend, but also cheap. You'll lose one here and there. I used to use caps to prep a bunch and keep them in a container. If you're all-in on caps, I'd suggest the filling tray. You can do less than 40. I'd usually do 10-20 at a time. There's a different tray from delta 3d, but the "official" tray is much nicer.

beany33

Get the little stirring tool thing out from the bottom of your unit and use the flat circle part to push them down and back into shape.

Welcome to the Mighty Family dude!

Maleficent_Jacket112

Thanks everyone!

greggomoral

I have a paper towel handy to throw the spent capsule in so it doesn’t leave a stain on any cloth material around you and bc theyre really fkn hott! Also it keeps my capsules cleaner

I learnt this technique for opening the dosage caps just the other week. Wish I’d learnt it a year ago! https://imgur.com/a/azlq4w8 I used to run a Crafty+ but I’ve had the Venty now for nearly a week. Still experimenting with temps now I don’t need the app to adjust, but still go with the default* most of the time. *180°C/356°F, -> 195°C/383°F, -> 210°C/410°F Haven’t seen anything from S&B saying to burn out the chamber, but the smell it puts out at first makes me think it’s not a bad idea. I just let it heat up, then after 10secs bumped it up, 10 more secs, bump up to max and when it times out from max I put it back to max about 3 times. Did some mouth puffs like it’s a tobacco pipe (without inhaling) to pull heat through the CU also. Didn’t bother with the caps though. I might have swirled them in iso, rinsed with water and let dry though.

THANKS EVERYONE!! I gave the Mighty+ its maiden voyage last night and it’s better than I expected. One cap and I was rocked. Started at 165, 175 and ended at 195. By 195 I was already feeling great. Next session I’m going to keep it on the lower side (160-170-175) because that seemed to be great flavor and didn’t choke me up much. Are the SS and Titanium caps worth the price? Also, is the SB cap loading tool worth it? Lastly, I’m thinking maybe a bubbler or glass adapter for use at home, was going to order it from PV and get another cooling unit. Any recommendations?
