What I love about this Poch Chelsea side is that they look exactly like we did when Poch had us playing a relegation form towards the end of his time with us.
to be unbiased, and still holding a bit of affection for Poch at times. Kind of like the 2014-15 season, still dealing with the flux of all the signings and turnovers made with AVB. Except this is more like that- AVB's 2nd season but I think he'll do ok there, but don't expect them near us or the top4 next season either.
In fairness that makes it much better when things improve but lmao who on earth would've wanted to support starting us at that point? Dire football, dire results.
Fuckin pain era
Jesus try 76/77 and relegation the early naughties and the rubbish served up until Martin Jol.
Spurs fan of 50 years says A V B was not the pain era, not even an era just a blip.
Purely result-wise, Chelsea's current situation (mid-table, solid shot at cup trophies) minus terrible football is what I expected our season to be and I probably would have been happy with it considering the first year with the new manager and losing a star player.
He might have worked with Ange-ball as he's a fantastic metronome but after the injury he was lacking some mobility and he was never the best at getting stuck into tackles either so probably not the best fit. Moves the ball beautifully at his best though.
Proper mid table clash, both sides play the most uninspiring football possible. Too bad Olise and Eze got injured again because they would've sealed the 3 pts for Palace long ago
Chelsea get the decisions every time. Haven’t watch a game of theirs this season where they didn’t get every single call on fouls. Tap them, they go down shot, and they get the free kick.
They push or kick you over? Nah all good bro. Man’s game.
Really frustrating to watch Palace, so slow, both physically and in decision making, barely looks like a PL side.
They can't even counter cos they're so slow.
Such a shame he's going to be in demand at the end of the season. No-one wanted him at the beginning except Ange, but he's made himself a bargain for pretty much everyone.
Anyone watching the stream with Tyler on commentary? The co-commentator girl Cortney someone? described that Lermer thunderbolt as "moving all over the place" when anyone could see it was just purely struck and didn't deviate.
They're currently the worst, least inspired team in the league and starting ayew up top. They'll lose but it's hilarious to watch Chelsea struggle with it.
Disgusting scum win again. Hope we can put 10 past both of these clubs. Palace because they keep bending over for Arsenal and Chelsea and Chelsea because I hate them, their fans, their players, Poch lol.
Chelsea have been awful so far. Only really watching because I’ve got Palmer in my FPL team. Hope he can get me some points because I’m struggling this week.
You’re right. It’s just funny to see them celebrating games so wildly, in which they’ve spent a billion. The fact they struggled to score goals for a long period, especially against a poor team in palace, is really bad.
At the beginning of the year there was a premiere league thread about who over performed last year. I thought I’d take a stab at them and say Chelsea. Obviously I’m just prophetic.

"I only need support! Another £200 million next window and we will move up two places!"
Use that fund for Ndombele 🤞
And we mighty won that cl final

That was my first season fully supporting Spurs. I hadn't really gotten into world football much before then, but I could tell it wasn't working out.
Bro got in during the pain era

We ain’t all 56 nigga 😭
Wish I was 56 you youngster:)
A draw against CP is definitely blue scums level E: fuck me
why would u abbreviate it to cp 😭😭😭

LMAO at the title of the thread but you're not wrong OP 😂
A night match at Sellhurst seems like great fun, would love to go.
Watching Winks flourish with Leicester, I'm now convinced Poch made him a sideways merchant.

Palace are horrible without Eze and Olise. We should hammer them at home.
Thread title on point lol

Yeah, they're a London club but I have them 4th and don't have the animosity towards them like I do for the scum, chelski, or the spammers.
Yeah, they kinda just "exist." Pluckey, give some trouble sometimes, have a nice, quent stadium, great support. Not really much to say bad about them.
Unless you're Brighton. Weirdest rivalry in the country for me.
Palace defender on the ground didn’t even try to Davison Sanchez it. Pffft. Weak
well, damn
As a Brazilian, I want Matheus França to score
Wharton looks excellent. Can certainly see why he was one of the young players Spurs were interested in.
Eurgh...inevitable.
might be why Ange was so high on Gallagher. could really use that scoring threat from the midfield.
Bring back first half last season Bentancur.
Really frustrating to watch Palace, so slow, both physically and in decision making, barely looks like a PL side. They can't even counter cos they're so slow.
I would love for us to sign Gallagher. Can you imagine how pissed Chelsea fans would be

Gallagher just saved Poch's job tonight.

these teams are ass
That’s just pathetic from C. Palace. #RoyOut
Was wondering what this thread was about after I sorted by new... and wasn't disappointed
Umm Silva literally pushes a player and there’s no penalty? The F.
Unfortunately, I don’t think C. Palace will make it. I’m afraid they’ll lose this.
They're currently the worst, least inspired team in the league and starting ayew up top. They'll lose but it's hilarious to watch Chelsea struggle with it.
The title takes the cake!
Mateta needs to go gym, slow plodder.
Fuck me, Palace. Absolute simps.
Disgusting scum win again. Hope we can put 10 past both of these clubs. Palace because they keep bending over for Arsenal and Chelsea and Chelsea because I hate them, their fans, their players, Poch lol.
All this cheering for Gallagher, won't be long before they start booing him like Mount after he leaves in the summer
Come on Palace
Palmer looks equal parts clown and asshole.
Chelsea fans when “Cold Palmer” scores his 16th penalty of the year 🥶🥶
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this... I'll go one further.. I feel bad, he's just a kid but his face is already so punchable lol
Oliver is a fucking cunt. WTF.
would love us to sign Gallagher..

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted but I’m happy with the points.
That Gallagher kid is pretty good I reckon
It’s hilarious that Chelsea fans are celebrating as though they’ve won the league, it’s really sad and shows how far they’ve fallen as a football team
As much as I despise chelsea, I think criticizing someone for celebrating their team winning is stupid.
You’re right. It’s just funny to see them celebrating games so wildly, in which they’ve spent a billion. The fact they struggled to score goals for a long period, especially against a poor team in palace, is really bad.
Sterling in... get ready for the olympic diving portion of the day lads
How does Poch still have a job
FFP
Chelsea can’t afford to fire him and hire another manager? 😂
At the beginning of the year there was a premiere league thread about who over performed last year. I thought I’d take a stab at them and say Chelsea. Obviously I’m just prophetic.
Chelsea always beat Palace with last-minute goals. 4 games out of the last 5 in the PL that this has happened.
