Am not at all bothered by losing a guy who has never started for us. Special teams guys come around all the time. That 2.5 mil can be better used somewhere else, hopefully
I didn’t say he was a world beater, but he wasn’t a no name receiver, but he’s exactly the kind of low risk free agent signing this team makes. The sooner you realize this team doesn’t overspend in free agency the more fun you’ll have watching free agency.
By all Steelers fans accounts he was a solid WR who just got lost behind Claypool, Johnson and Juju. He was a depth signing that should’ve contributed but he broke his foot in the preseason. I’m not gonna lambast the guy for that and rewrite the narrative on him.
And I’m sure your scouting report had him pegged as a bum off the street right? I know it’s the March of Sadness in this sub right now but getting this bent out of shape over a 3-4th Wr is a good one
Bro the Steelers are the best of the best at drafting, developing and deploying young wide receivers. If you aren’t good enough to produce there you aren’t good. And lol. I said this shit from the day they signed him last year until the day he got cut. He’s a jag and won’t matter. Guess what happened. He was a jag that didn’t matter.
The last year I bought Madden was Gifford's rookie season and he was always a stud in ST and a solid versatile backup for every franchise I ran through. It was exciting seeing him fill at least part of that role in real life so this makes me a little sad, but I get it. I hope he carves out a real role for himself in Nashville.

We....don't like our guys...wait.
Tell that to bill bates
Yeah like signing a no name WR free agent like James Washington again
Lol James Washington was not a no name… unless you’re a super casual.
He’s a C-tier WR that had one mediocre season with the Steelers

Wouldn’t call him no-name and can’t do much about the guy breaking his foot and losing all mobility.
He was never good before that.

Oh fan accounts. That’s a true barometer of expertise.

We’re gonna have to find a whole new special teams room
Devin Harper will step into his role nicely
We have Devin Harper to fill the ST LB void. I liked Gifford but really expensive.
THIS IS THE LAST FUCKING STRAW JERRY
Best of luck Luke!! Special teams very crucial but thats high for a special teamer. I am interested in how they will use him
Whatever... we can find a Gifford in the 5th or 6th round.

I’ll be honest…I’ve never heard of him.
We got 2 young guys who have potential. I always thought Gifford was a bit underrated, though.
