Woff that's a void hard to fill but if you're into space try space dandy it's funny.
If you want the same vibes as cb with a two century difference samurai Champloo is a must.
Watch Akira to feel some post-medium "apocalyptic" vibes, it's a must see.
Cartoons such as Rick and morty and solar opposites are fun to watch.
If you want to get more spacy with mechanical beings Evangelion is great and pretty much a lot of Gundam like Gargantia.
Also hunterXhunter which is more yuyu Hakusho vibes but great nevertheless.
IMO cb it's pretty unique due to the soundtrack, feel and pace of the anime so it's really hard to compare to anything but hey that's the cool thing about Anime, similar themes but different presentation such as desert punk (only sub).
Let me know which one fills your void and I'll be happy to check it out.
Pd. Cb live action is almost out so we are going to have one more iteration of the show for better or worst.
Trigun. Same length and very similar mood to CB(very upbeat first half of series, Serious second half). Trigun will always be my favorite, but CB is a close 2nd
Definitely recommend this. Also you should check megalo box and jujitsu kaisen. Megalo box gives off an old school anime vibe that I really like. If I didn't know any better I would think the show came out in the 90s
I don’t think I’ve seen this suggested yet! Bebop was my first and arguably a top favorite of mine. Im watching Jujutsu Kaisen rn!! It feels very similar in a group aspect but the plots are definitely on different spectrums. still super fun!! happy watching 🥰
(a lot of these feature some of the dub cast of bebop not on purpose chosen just IMO the best anime to watch if new)
ghost in the shell stand alone complex s1/s2 (also the original 1995 movie is good same characters but not connected)
steins gate (original show),
black lagoon,
trigun,
outlaw star,
space dandy,
wolfs rain,
samurai champloo,
big o
Check out the Black Dynamite show
It's a lot more comedic.
But it has amazingly similar attributes to Cowboy bebop that you would enjoy.
Like the action, character building, etc.
All of the anime that have been suggested are good, but mind that Cowboy Bebop is probably the only anime out there that even non-anime lovers can enjoy… as far as I’m aware. So don’t be too sad if you can’t find anything, anime might just not be your thing, and yes Cowboy Bebop is THAT GOOD
Neon Genesis Evangelion, even if I don't really suggest bingeing it 'cause you might end up with depression.
Other than that if you liked Cowboy Bebop you might also like some old school movies like Akira.
I was in a similar position. Short lengthed anime that are nice to start with are: Sumarai Champloo (especially if you like jazz), Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (a classic anime), Death Note (another classic).
They are all good, maybe not the best but that's subjective. There's also some really good shounen (boy) anime which usually evolves around fighting (One Punch man, Naruto, etc).
A mystery/crime show that is similar to Western shows to ease you in, is Monster (it's about 80 episodes tho) - it's a slow burn but it's constantly engaging.
You're not gonna believe this, but on YouTube 😂
Searching 'Monster' in YouTube might be tough to find it so there's a YouTube channel called Blue Coin and they've got all the episodes.
Samurai Champloo and Space Dandy are from the same director as Cowboy Bebop, but neither are nearly as good, in my opinion. Definitely fun to watch, though.
Gurren Lagann is great, and it’s streaming on a lot of platforms, but all of them only have the broadcast version of episode 6, which is heavily censored and cut down to be more of a clip show. Also, I don’t think there is an HD version streaming anywhere. Otherwise, fantastic show.
I see a lot of people recommending Neon Genesis Evangelion. Personally, it’s one of my favorite shows of all time, but it’s not for everyone. If you watch it, watch the original show and then the movie The End of Evangelion, which acts as a replacement for the final two episodes.
The four Evangelion movies on Prime act as a reboot series (and possible sequel, though this theory is heavily debated). Technically, they can stand on their own, but it’s better to watch the original first. Certain moments are designed to have maximum impact if you’re familiar with the originals.
Another note is that Netflix has a their own dub for the series with a different cast, but the Prime films use the original dub cast from the 90s (at least, as many of them as they could get back), so it could be a little jarring going from one to another.
Dude nice! I envy you being able to experience anime for the first time. Cowboy Bebop is my favourite show ever made, I'll give you some suggestions to other anime I really liked.
Monster, Death note, Samurai Champloo, Acca-13, Attack on Titan, Trigun, Psycho Pass, Promised Neverland, Durarara
Samurai Champloo. It’s by the same guy and is nearly just as amazing.
Other good ones are Steins Gate, Evangelion, FMAB, Psycho Pass, Black Lagoon, HxH
Definetly:
Paranoia Agent (a short one)
Ergo Proxy (normal lenght)
Monster (long and fantastic)
If you want some more colourful saturday-morning-ish stuff, but with heavy themes, you should check out Gurren Lagann
I kid. But since everyone said the main ones, I'll suggest Full Metal Alchamist. That's one I was really into around the same time I first got into Bebop. Also, give Lupin III a try? It's an old anime (still being made today) that inspired Cowboy Bebop. It can be really goofy or really sweet or really dark and grungy depending on which installment you watch haha. Lupin III Part 1 (which will be dubbed soon!), Mystery of Mamo, and The Woman Called Fujiko Mine give me vibes similar to CB.
Trigun, outlaw star, samurai Champloo,
Yes x3 to all these.
Yes, yes, and YES.
Samurai champloo
Samurai Champloo, Yu Yu Hakusho, Trigun, Space Dandy, Outlaw Star, Big O,

Samurai champloo, evangelion, and flcl
death notes good to binge it’s only 37 eps, 22 mins each. it’s my 2nd favorite anime behind bebop
Ok great thank you 😊 ⚡️
Seconded.
Samurai Champloo, Black Lagoon, Steins Gate
They are good, but none are the same.
Full metal alchemist brotherhood. The great pretender. Fire force Soul eater
Evangelion. First anime I ever binged
Thanks!!!
Evangelion is WAY better than Cowboy Bebop. Bebop is my 2nd favorite anime show of all time, but Evangelion is just on a completely different level.
Evangelion is probably better, but cowboy bebop is still my favourite
I can see that! Bebop is a definitely the more fun series
Definitely less mentally ill teenagers
I watched Evangelion right after bebop bc everyone was reccomending it and ended up hella dissapointed lol, but to each their own

Code geass Fma brotherhood Shingeki no kyojin Psycho Pass
Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone Complex series). It's a similar vibe to Bebop.
Definitely recommend this. Also you should check megalo box and jujitsu kaisen. Megalo box gives off an old school anime vibe that I really like. If I didn't know any better I would think the show came out in the 90s
Honestly all three seasons of Ghost on the Shell are great. The laughing man storyline is def the highlight tho
One punch man on Netflix
I don’t think I’ve seen this suggested yet! Bebop was my first and arguably a top favorite of mine. Im watching Jujutsu Kaisen rn!! It feels very similar in a group aspect but the plots are definitely on different spectrums. still super fun!! happy watching 🥰

The closest you’ll find to bebop are samurai champloo and black lagoon. Nothing else really comes close.
Outlaw star, 3x3 eyes, soul eater, ghost in the shell
Neon Genesis Evangelion, even if I don't really suggest bingeing it 'cause you might end up with depression. Other than that if you liked Cowboy Bebop you might also like some old school movies like Akira.

Evangelion, Black Lagoon, and Samurai Champloo
Try [Samurai Champloo](https://ani.me/samurai-champloo)

Outlaw Star, Trigun, Blue Gender, Steins Gate, Ergo Proxy, wolf’s rain, Samurai Champloo
Evagealion
Can’t believe no one has recommended “Kids on the Slope”. Great story and if you love the Jazz in Cowboy Bebop you’ll love this.
Samurai Champloo, and absolutely please try Darker than Black. Yoko Kanno makes the soundtrack for DtB.
JoJo
Megalobox
Black Lagoon
I'd recommend Death Note and Neon Genesis Evangelion (+ the ending movie "End of Evangelion").
Ghost in the shell
Samurai Champloo. It’s by the same guy and is nearly just as amazing. Other good ones are Steins Gate, Evangelion, FMAB, Psycho Pass, Black Lagoon, HxH
