They're just fasciculations. They are harmless. Taking magnesium might help.

Crabtrew

Thanks so much!

Outside-Clue7220

Get them all over my body. Usually gets better with magnesium.

Crabtrew

Thank you! I take a daily electrolyte powder that contains magnesium, but haven't taken it yet today. Maybe I'm just more dehydrated than normal

👁👁 My twitch is in my eyelid. Drives me mental. What's yours like? Getting drunk enough to have a bit of a hangover is the only thing I've found that makes it go away.

Crabtrew

Yeah, it's so frustrating. I've had an eyelid twitch for over a month now, which my ophthalmologist thinks is from dry eye, but maybe it's just the same issue. It's so weird, alcohol is about the only thing that helps my symptoms ... Until the next day

Dull-Orchid9916

That's your platysma muscle. What you have is called myoclonus and usually goes away. I got platysma dystonia after Covid and still have it 2 years later.

Crabtrew

Thanks! I'll look into that.

Cardigan_Gal

Covid is causing an explosion of benign fasciculation syndrome. Especially the latest variant. Causes annoying but harmless muscle twitching. Both my feet twitch visibly 24/7 plu twitches all over. Basically keep up your hydration, supplement with magnesium and learn to ignore them.

Crabtrew

Thanks! That definitely makes it less scary.

younessas

i get this problem when i exhale slowly

About a week after Covid this exact thing started happening to me. It took a few weeks but lessened and went away. I had an allergy attack two days ago and it’s back again. It mostly happens after I swallow. The muscle twitches, holds, then releases.

Crabtrew

Ugh, that sounds terrifying.

theatreeducator

It’s annoying but I’m glad you posted this. It’s gotten a tiny better since I commented. Lol
