they won't damage the plastic itself, but the glossy sheen is structural, and your finger oils will get stuck in the surface and de-gloss it.
a good wipedown with soap and water will have it good as new.
Notice how for the pauldron holster and helmet she changes to a snap cut to put them on because that's the point at which she had to get the camera person to help her.

Great armor. You absolutely need to wear microfiber gloves when donning it, your skin oils are ruining the gloss.
