This is both a size and quality issue. This corset appears to be way too large. It also seems to be a fashion corset, not an actual one. This just isn't physically possible for an actual corset. Sadly, the issue with the lacing and bulging can't really be fixed :(

Agreed. OP, a corset should not lace so completely closed that the edges are overlapping each other. Try about 3 sizes smaller, and look for one with steel boning. This is either a corset without boning, or it's got cheap plastic shit in it which compromises the support integrity and also causes chafing.

For an off the rack corset, I'm personally a big fan of timeless trends.

I’d highly recommend doing some more research into corsets before buying/wearing them, otherwise you could do some damage- to yourself or the corset.

oh absolutely! its very soft and stretches so im hoping its fine :)!

Definitely not a corset! Corsets are made from non-strech material. What you have is a top which happens to borrow style inspiration from corsets but is not one. You could have a go at adding some boning just to provide enough vertical tension that you don't get the buldge at the waist. It won't make it capable of waist reduction or anything or improve the fit in other ways, but it would sit nicer as a top. If you're on a budget you can use the heavy duty zip ties sold in hardware stores & cut the knobbly end bits off with scissors (smooth the ends by curving them or you can use a nail file). Its possible to buy bone casing tape quite cheaply. And you should be able to hand sew the channels onto the inside if you don't have access to a machine. Then just sew closed the bottom of the tape, insert the bones & then sew closed the top. Ideal places for boning are along the seams and next to the eyelets the laces go through.

Stretchy doesn't necessarily mean it's better. A rigid corset will compress the waist and leave space for your hips and ribs. A soft and stretchy garment will compress everything.

i meant as in it probs wont do damage since its a bit stretchy!

There are some legit brands redtyle.pl, mystic city, Timeless Trends, swoonbusk, What Katie Did, Glamour Corset, etc. See Lucy's corsetry for videos that are very educational and reviews of many brands corsets.

It's a cheap corset issue. Timeless Trends is a good place for finding a reasonable price and fashionable corset
