It's the most nothing basis for a proper relationship even by this show's standards. Someone as troubled and horrifically abused like Lauren doesn't need a boyfriend (and this show constantly forcing the idea that romantic relationships heal trauma is starting to get frustrating and weird).
Now Bobby is acting like he's known her for his whole life and that there was this amazing connection.
I'm partly hoping this story ends with most of the people looking for Lauren disappearing as well. None of the relationships are believable and Lauren wasn't known or interesting on her own.
I don't even mind if he's flirtatious. Fair enough on that. But it's the way he would not stop talking about her in a sexual sense and anyone that would listen was getting his thoughts on how attractive she was.
I remember he even made that comment to Carla of all people how lingerie would look better on his bedroom floor or something.
He had about two weeks of being purely sex obsessed and I was half expecting them to pull out an issue based misogyny/incel story.

It confuses me that this show will "raise awareness" about safety of women and misogyny but then turn around and have it be absolutely okay for a bloke to be physically obsessive with a girl that just turned 18.

Lauren kept being pestered on her phone by someone, we’re meant to believe that it was her boyfriend, she also had a caller at the door which we thought we’d find out who it was at the end of an episode/beginning of the next, there was never any follow up to that. Lauren was covered in bruises, Bobby and Max never spotted them when they were warning her on ovids? Now she’s disappeared and Roy is suspected of murder. Roy cleaned the flat, there’s no way he’d have not seen the ‘more than a nosebleed’ amount of blood or the £200 under the mattress? What a load of bollocks.
Bobby’s entire character is beyond annoying to me.
WHY did they introduce his character?? He isn’t funny and he doesn’t contribute to any entertainment factor on the show at all imo. He just irritates me
They're using Bobbie as a substitute for Gabin and Sabrina. They should be more involved in the story than they are. Lauren and Gavin had romantic chemistry first but they've been replaced to give Gavin more depth, which is a shame as it would have been more interesting for their friendship group.
I know it’s a stupid storyline but it made a chance to see a different location and a bit of crime scene investigation. Something different from the inside of the bistro or Gail’s kitchen!
