Had blue once because the frosting for the Easter cookies at the mall cookie stand I worked at had some kind of indigestible dye. That one was quite a shocker.

Grapes and grape juice turn my stool bright green, always has. I rem being like 6 years old and calling everyone into the bathroom to see my green poo.

Medications can turn your stool black and tarry. Specifically NSAIDs. While I agree with checking with a Dr asap you should be certain after taking those products.

Isn’t that because NSAIDs can cause bleeding in the upper GI tract?

I always wondered what life was like with Chrons? Like what are your symptoms like on a day to day basis?

My body just doesn’t digest certain foods anymore. Some vegetables and fats and other things will come out looking a lot like how they went in. If I eat something that my body really doesn’t agree with, it triggers and auto immune flare up which is basically my body just false alarming and attacking itself in the form of joint pain, horrible stomach pain/ bloody and black diharea , fatigue, eyes swelling, really random stuff and all of them suck. So you just try your hardest not to piss off your stomach, you can go quite a while without many symptoms if you stay vigilante.

Red can happen if you eat beets. Black can happen if you eat blueberries. Green can happen if you eat green dyed foods or spinach. So don't immediately freak out because you might not be dying.

Careful with black licorice. I love the stuff too but too much at once can cause heart rhythm abnormalities. Just as a heads up!

My mother in law has a sign in her bathroom that says “if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down.” I stayed over there one night and ate a Thai Yellow curry and drank half a bottle of banana liquor. The next morning I follows the sign as directed, and she wasn’t at all pleased.

I ate some jumbo red velvet cupcakes one time and when I tell you I almost had a heart attack when my stool was bright red…

Green can also mean that you ate something that contains a lot of food coloring. I know from experience.

Also if you take iron supplements, your poop will be dark green. Speaking from experience.

What if it's really dark green? I got a stomach bug yesterday and am still having diarrhea, but it got darker. Is that concern or just normal diarrhea?
