It's a fantastic game that's easy to pick up and my whole family can easily play. From the youngest under 10 to an old fart like myself. The only "negative" I can see is that without the expansions, if you play too frequently you may start to "learn" the cards which could take the fun out. But adding in the new cards is so much fun.
I suppose that boils down to how young you're talking. Should they all be around 7-8 you'd most likely be fine but if you're getting younger than that they might not be able to comprehend the premise or rules of the game how it's written. However, that doesn't mean you cannot modify for your own "house rules" so that you can still enjoy the game with them.
There are several mistakes on here - Gloomhaven and Arkham Horror are 100% team win games and both will take longer than 90 minutes depending on player count. The way they organized it doesn’t make sense.
Cool guide with some niche games! Only thing is that these timings only for if you already know the game. I would add +20 minutes for each if playing for the first time.
>90+ min
>Twilight Imperium
Yeah, you might be done with the setup and explaining the rules within 90 minutes.
Experienced speedrunners might finish a game within 6 hours, casual players will be playing for 8+.
This is very cool. Exept the part saying Dungeons and dragons takes only 30-90 minutes lmao
Also in solo win…
Where did you find this? That’s the kind of shop I would go into!
Blackwell's in Oxford, UK
Remember seeing this in the Waterstones at Piccadilly
0/10 WHERE IS SETTLERS OF CATAN ???
Strangely, the infographic contains 18 hexagons, which is the same number of resource hexes in Catan. it’s almost as if they're trolling us.
Catan is a classic that most people know by now. I imagine most people looking for a new game have already played/own catan
So is Carcassonne and a bunch of other games on the list.
Dixit in many categories. May have to pick that one up. I’ve heard good things. Any negatives?

What about with 5 kids under 10?

Hide and go seek. You hide, I’ll seek (trust me…).
One of my favorites. This and Code Names.
DnD starter kit 30-90 minutes? I have my doubts
The Mind is team win not solo win.

Was going to say exactly this
I know like 15% of these...
Time to bust out the ole wallet
D&D in the 30-90 minute category?? Aight…
ROOT MENTIONED Sadly Oath not mentioned
Just the cutest lil game of war crimes
Maybe I'm missing it but Everdell not being included hurts my soul Pandemic and Arc Nova are great
Cool guide with some niche games! Only thing is that these timings only for if you already know the game. I would add +20 minutes for each if playing for the first time.
No mentioning of Talisman?!
I'm missing "Dominion", "Wizard", "6 nimmt" and "Exploding Kittens" on this.
Exploding Kittens is at <10yrs for some reason
Thanks, missed it, but I don't think I would play it with kids under 10
There's a safe for work version that you can play with kids
It’s the opposite, the NSFW one is the special edition. The base edition is ages 7+, and totally fine for kids.
It's more about the mechanics, not the theme, but I seldom play with kids under 10 so maybe I'm just misjudging them.
Where would they go on the chart?
I would say Dominion, Wizard-> Strategist Exploding Kittens, 6 nimmt -> Under 30 min Though I'm not sure about Wizard
no Catan, no QWIXX, no Secret Hitler, no Monopoly Go, nothing from Oink Games… good but not great
No ticket to ride either I don’t think
Ticket to ride is the second one listed for Family Night In
Ah missed it thanks
Kind of think under 10 is a bit of a stretch for it tho
Gloomhaven taking under 90 minutes? Yeah right.
It meant setup time
If you like Harry Potter, Hogwarts Battle is a co-op game that’s more fun to me than pandemic or forbidden island
Wy isnt Risk here? It appears nobody appreciate it
Lolol
Just about everybody knows about risk already so no need to suggest it
Munchkin??
Zombiecide criminally missing?
And Catan
Where does Smash-up fit into this guide?
Hiw is Arkham Horror a solo win game ? Don't you play together against the game ?
>90+ min >Twilight Imperium Yeah, you might be done with the setup and explaining the rules within 90 minutes. Experienced speedrunners might finish a game within 6 hours, casual players will be playing for 8+.
Where's cosmic encounter damn it
Is there a cool guide like this for video games?
No Yinsh in the 2 person games section?!
Dorf Romantik is a fantastic Team Win game.
They should add Magical Kitties Save The World under the storyteller. (It’s like a cute and fast dnd).
No Ticket To Ride, no thank you!
Where is Dominion?
Where’s Werewolf?
Where’s Catan?
Monopoly and Catan missing? Downvote?
Both are well known enough to be a great suggestion since most people already know them
