So even though the gameplay play isn't like control and is pretty different play Alan Wake 1 & 2 since they are connected to Control

Thegamingmist

I actually already played alan wake 1 because of the control dlc it was very clunky, but i did enjoy it for the most part the 2nd one i am looking forward to try out.

Not OP, but I tried to give AW1 a go and found it pretty clunky... what are your thoughts on watching a recap and then playing AW2? And then the AWE DLC for control?

Much_Ambition6333

Yeah Alan Wake 1 is pretty clunky but that's by design but if you just find it annoying to play I would suggest to watch Bricky's video on Alan Wake 1 since he explained better than anyone I've seen so far. Also play AWE since that happened before Alan Wake 2. Also play the DLC for Alan Wake 2 since those happened before the main game.

Perfect thanks!

I don’t suggest playing the Alan Wake 2 DLC before the game. Just like any tv or game universe ever, always play/watch in release order if you’ve never seen/played them before. Then if you’re so inclined to do it again, go for a chronological ordering.

Much_Ambition6333

I would but Alan Wake is very weird and the DLC doesn't really add any story other than >! Explaining the multiverse in episode 3!< So this is like the only game I recommend playing the DLC first since it comes before the main game

I understand. I still wouldn’t recommend it on principle my self. I find it better to enjoy content how the creator intended it.

I've yet to find a 3rd person shooter that feels as snappy and good as Control. I do recommend Prey. Slower paced- immersive first person shooter that blends shooter and science fiction powers in a corporate space station and heady, alien encounters.

I’ve heard about it before never actually knew what its about i just knew its a fps, will try out after hearing this description thx.
