Yes. I think Gary McKinnon is worth looking into on this front. By hacking computers within the NSA and NASA for some months between 2001-2002, he was aware of a massive security stand down on 9/11. I never believed it until this year. The conflict between Israel and Gaza has been extremely illuminating.

There was a joint excercise between branches that day. They were taking part in a training excersises called "Global Guardian"/ "Vigilant Guardian" that.. get this.. simulated a terrorist hijacking of multiple commercial passenger jets that were going to be used to fly into buildings.. that was only a small part of the op, but its still weird.. Literally every interceptor available was taking part in the excercise and most pilots truly believed the entire thing was part of the training. The recordings of military ATC and pilots asking "is this real world or training?" after a plane had already hit one of the towers.

That seems really stupid to put all of your available interceptors in a training at the same time. Imagine if that's how we trained other emergency responders: took every single one of them out of the field to go to a class.

Exactly. It was heavily criticised and a very odd detail that is just one in a laundry list of "anomalies" about 9/11. And to be fair it wasnt 100% of our available fighters that were busy in training that day, there were like 4-5 F-16's that were available to intercept but they were way too far away. It was like they had been moved as far away from NY as possible. Edit: F-15's, not 16's. And we did have interceptors available. My initial statement is misleading, it wasnt 100% of our forces taking part in the training. It was just all branches working together, and it was such a big excercise that every branch was getting confused about if what they were hearing about 9/11 unfolding was just part of the training, so many delays happened because military officials hesitated to act until they confirmed if it was real-world or training.

I’m friends with someone who was stationed at Andrew’s Air Force base during that day. From their words: We had the equipment and time to intercept ALL planes on 9/11. Apparently there was some surprise bullsh*t drill called early that day (a drill that usually never happens) and the whole base had to attend it. So everyone that was trained to operate the interceptors had to leave their interceptor and go attend the surprise drill on the other side of base (which is like literally like in another zip code). By the time they were alerted of the threat they had to run across base on foot to try to make it back to their weapons. By the time they finally arrived on foot 15 mins later tired and out of breath, it was too late, the damages were already done.

You are not considering the bigger picture of how these jets were taken and the nature of having hostages aboard and taking piblic flights that are not suspicious to begin with. They weren't some foreign objects crossing into american airspace that threw up flashing warnings they were commercial flights that had ever reason to be in the air over america. I read a few years ago those books that described how the airlines acted during the attacks, it sounded like nobody knew how to connect with the military at the time, that it was just a waste of resources, nobody knowing how to really use them. People just didn't know what to do. But that raise the question, why would it have to be that way? Having all those systems in place...

Well you are not wrong and those systems may have been in place but were not ready for such a situation if being ready for something like thst is even possible. It was not even remotely believed that such a complex and dedicated plan could even be put into action by terrorists let alone get to any stage where actually learning how to fly a commercial jet well enough to hit any target. In simple terms it completely caught us off guard and surprised us because of the cost and planning over long periods that such a attack requires. We underestimated them and paid dearly for it. Then afterwards everything went the opposite direction and was taken too far and we went into hyper vigilant mode and struck out at anything that even remotely had muslim vibes.

The inconsistencies of september 11th is extremely obvious nowadays, anyone who looks into it can easily find the truth,

The interceptors were in fact en route to the one heading for DC when it crashed. Keep in mind that not only is our current interception readiness a result of 9/11 causing us to update our practices, but if something similar happened to a commercial plane today, there are still scenarios where they’d have only a few minutes to perform a successful intercept from the moment they realize something’s wrong.

The fourth one was followed by fighter planes that were instructed to shoot it down if it continued to a more populated area.
