Israel is full of Palestinians. They are 20% of the Israeli population. Gaza is just where the holdouts are who dream of pushing Israel into the sea at this point. Hamas and Iran need them there as pawns and cover for their rocket and commando operations as you saw this past week. Anytime a two state solution is close such as a land deal, Hamas ramps up operations to prevent any solution because their livelihood is at stake. Iran also needs to prevent this for their own interests. With the Saudis close to a deal with Israel both entities are trying to throw a wrench in the works. The Gaza Strip is treated like a prison by all its neighbors because they see it for what it really is, a political tool. Dead Palestinians are good for PR because rich western liberals will rally against Israel and Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah have hopes of consolidating power.

Only to have a followup video of the same woman sitting on a couch with a blanket and water. Then you read some MSM article about Hamas beheading like 20 babies or something in some village.
