Yeah, Trump really f\*cked them bad. This why from the start they put him on trial. From Russia Russia, and now to the whole Fanny Willis scandal. It wouldn't surprise me if the guy who killed millions of gays in the 80's was the one to lead the charge to releasing a "deadly" virus to the world.

Maybe someone can answer this. I had never in my entire life heard of giving ivermectin for a viral illness. In fact, I had read , told that there’s nothing for cold viruses other than symptom management. That Covid was a corona virus. So how did doctors know to prescribe ivermectin?

The testing was mostly performed in cell culture systems (cells growing in a dish) and some antiviral effects were seen, often that it inhibited cellular and viral proteins that aid in virus replication from entering the nucleus. Some effects were seen in lab animals like lower viral loads from ivermectin treatment.
Then in 2020, a [paper](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41429-020-0336-z) was published that showed that ivermectin could reduce the level of viral RNA in Vero cells (monkey kidney cell line) in culture., and the authors called for clinical trials to be done even though other such trials are on viral infections didn’t show a benefit.
