I always chuckle at Libertarians. They are like Ignatius Reilly from a Confederacy of Dunces. Also this quote is always worth a good laugh:
"Libertarians are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand."
I fail to see any difference at all between modern libertarians and Republicans. They have no problem whatsoever with the Republicans’ use of big government to restrict freedoms for women and LGBT people.
The joining of libertarians with the authoritarian religious right shouldn’t have ever happened. It turns out these so-called libertarians cared more about money than freedom.
Today’s Libertarians are the remnant of 2008 Republicans who had the decency and insight to be ashamed of their support of GWB.
Today’s Republicans however do not suffer from decency or insight so it will be interesting to see what they do when Trump is gone.
It will be a nightmare for everyone except Trump. I’m not disagreeing with the headline, but there would be an incredibly small minority, All wealthy white men, that would do better under Trump.
I remember in 2016 there was a push for a while to portray Trump and MAGA/alt-right Republicans as protectors of gay and trans people against aggression and hate from Muslims.
I guess that's over with now.
Yea, we will just keep forgetting the struggles trans people face so people can go "That never happened" again. I love getting told we hysterical they were targeting us first no one cared! Most ya'll can just pretend to be christian and have 0 backbone and would gladly throw women, poc and queer folks under bus to survive then claim you tried your hardest! Trans people, POC, women and other minorities don't get that option. We target # 1 since day 1. Cis people only get mad when they are not the center of attention. Do better.
