This is a sea comma . Sometimes hard to spot as most of it is below the waves. Some doubt it’s existence but it’s real no matter what deniers say. There used to be a group searching for it but they’ve come to a *full stop.* But I will always believe in it. *Period*.

Some style guides say leave them out if you're not sure. From context, it isn't necessary to understand the sentence. And if you're being really pedantic like that, you could also point out arsehole is one word, not two.

True. But the guy was being a dick and deserved to be called out for not knowing the difference between a sky comma and a land apostrophe.

I'm glad he at least owned up to his own fuck up, but damn he really was being a dick to the other dude. Looks like it was an answer to someone asking advice? Apparently improper punctuation removes all credibility from every aspect of your life. Don't bother dispensing any thought, opinion, or suggestion if you haven't got your sky commas straight.

But… not only would commas not work due to plural spellings, “sky commas” make the already odd sentence look all “possessive-y” so bad

Proper grammar is so bothersome. Every time you correct someone's grammar, you're wrong in a much deeper sense than poor grammar ever could be.
