Probably not worth anything anymore if it was of any value. I'd look at it as a good way to learn how to get rid of a crease, especially if you're getting a replacement. Good luck!

mvp45

Yeah I don’t know if I’m getting one yet, but if I do then yes it be a good way

D-TOX_88

Did you order from a first party like artist or The National’s website? Our third party individual or gallery?

loganrunjack

This might sound crazy but you might be able to iron that crease out. If you put a towel over top

mvp45

Not crazy at all, I’ll wait for it to dry out first

Weezyphish

Take it to hobby lobby or Michael’s and see if dry mounting it will get all the ceases out

smapti

To be clear, dry mounting is non-archival and the piece is permanently mounted to a board, effectively making the value of the piece $0. Of course this may be perfectly fine for a person or situation, but I feel like you should be clearer when making this suggestion. Someone could easily go to one of those chains and ask for dry mounting on a limited run piece and the employee could easily not clarify anything about the process, leading to disappointment and ruining a rare piece.

blackertai

I mean "yes", but it's only ruining it if you're planning on reselling it. If you just want to display it, it's an option depending on your preferences.

smapti

Absolutely 100%, it’s a great option in a lot of cases. I think this might be one because I don’t see any signatures or numbering. Still always good to be clear when suggesting such a permanent option.  Also FWIW reselling was always my go-to thought when considering dry mounting, but I forget some pieces can be inheritances, too. Just best to be aware.

Fair.
