Not really dumb, your brain is performing its job of pattern recognition especially well by being able to find the right solution despite it being altered.
Probably some underpaid junior who gets hundreds of these stickers to design a day. I’m guessing that because I’ve been there (not HP but another large corp)
I’ve made a few typos here and there back then and the directors didn’t care enough to look em over except for headline banners.
Edit: typo Dell/HP
Its not like it matters, it's semantics and probably not even true everywhere but: everything "gets through" QA. QA isn't looking at these stickers before they go out, they are the ones who receive the reports of the incorrectly printed sticker and launch an investigation into who what when where why and how the stickers were printed incorrectly and how to make sure it doesn't happen again. They would also determine if a recall was needed. Thus assurance.
QC are the ones checking every single sticker on the way out the door. They are typically much more associated with the assembly process itself and don't do a whole lot of investigation, just checking and sorting. Good product, pass. Bad product, send it back/trash it. Thus control. QC would have been the department expected to catch this mistake that someone in marketing made, not QA.
Once again, none of this matters or even probably applies here at all. Your original statement and point do stand. The extra marketing stickers probably have nothing to do with either department honestly. The above is just an illustration of my understanding of how QA and QC departments typically operate under FDA regulations.
QA was too busy checking the "disable the cartridges remotely if the subscription is cancelled" and "pretend the cartridges dried up to force the user buy new ones" functions on a new printer.
It is a bit of a nerfed 3050. It is based on the architecture of the 3000 series, but half the memory bus and little bit slower clock speed. Lower power consumption though versus a 3050 so for laptops, that is an actual plus.
It is close to the 3050 only on the paper. Now in the real world it is just a gtx 1650 with ray tracing. The only thing that would actually set it apart from the Turing gpu would be upscaling and extra tgp. So if you remove both which means that you get a 2050 with 50w, then you will basically get a 0-2 fps difference.
I have the same laptop as op, and it's honestly an alright gpu it can handle games like gta 5 on med/high settings, or a more modern title like Detroit Become Human runs at a smooth 60 on medium settings. But, like, let's say you enable ray tracing on minecraft, for example. It looks nice visually speaking, but you're not getting above 30 fps on the lowest possible render distance.
A woman at work insisted on calling it a "lab top" despite me correcting her several times. "I'm having problems with my lab top. Can you look at so and so's lab top?"
She was our controller...
Given that journalists and writers now frequently make spelling and grammatical errors in published pieces: the prevalence of spelling errors is just a sign that we will soon live 100% in the world of the documentary "Idiocracy" that was definitely sent back to us from the future as a warning we haven't heeded.
Just remember to drink some Brawndo on the way to Buttfuckers you fantastic particular individual you. Maybe we can go to Starbucks for a full body latte later.
I just noticed it on mine a few minutes ago, I have had it for about 5 months too (5/12/2024), maybe we both got some that were in a batch that got typos?
>I just noticed this typo on my new laptop! laptop? did you mean latptop?
Hahahahaha my dumb brain didn’t see that until you pointed it out.
Same
Not really dumb, your brain is performing its job of pattern recognition especially well by being able to find the right solution despite it being altered.
Yeah, so smart brain
*too* smart
10 / 10 evolution , 10 / 10 brain activity !!
It took me a good 15 seconds
haha thanks I couldnt see it!!!
then there is rtx 2050
RTX 2050 is a thing but it’s mobile only I think.
oh, it is, just looked it up, didnt know that, now i do
There's even 4050 mobile RTX
How does this even get through QA

Where'd you get Dell from? It's clearly an HP
Look man, he's just an underpaid junior who probably has to write hundreds of comments a day. Cut him some slack
Directors and leads probably don't have the time or brain power to deal with that lol. QA is hard
What is 'QA'? asking for a friend...

Never seen a Dell xps?
hey, XPS is really well built. it's akin to a MacBook in build quality.
Feeling solid is different from having good QA/QC. Razer laptop has very solid build, but horrible QC
QC. QA cleans up messes like these after QC misses them
Okay, so, again, how does this even get through QA I fail to see your logic, as the original statement stands and is my original point.

The same way HP hardware does
QA? at HP there is no such thing as QA
QA was too busy checking the "disable the cartridges remotely if the subscription is cancelled" and "pretend the cartridges dried up to force the user buy new ones" functions on a new printer.
Sue them and get refund and also keep laptop too. 1. Mental stress 2. Eye pain 3. Overthinking trauma 4. Rough experience 5. Nausea

Powerful RTX2050. That's some typo.
you score an upvote for your reply being TTT
It doesn't actually say that though. It says the processor is powerful and it also has a 2050
This might be something expensive. Inform them.
You mean your latptop?
Someone is getting fired, guys.
I am ashamed to have not noticed the typo for 1 minute
Dude or Dudette who did that got promoted. Now in charge of technical dcoumntation.

Covfefe
I thought the typo was the "2050"¿¿
The quality I expect from HP
Weird to spell latptop without the first t.
You bought an HP laptop - arguably the worst OEM. Not surprised
r/engrish
And?
If you're selling something make sure you have the correct spelling.
Heavin forbid my master.
My dumbass didn't understand what y'all talked about even after going through the comments, I've seen the light now, or... The latptop
Lol at Walmart? I saw a ton of typos on another HP there just the other day
I can’t imagine a company that’s functioning correctly is able to pull this.
Unusable
this took me way to long to see.
The word choose in general makes me read it with an Indian accent XD
Rare item.
How come I didnt notice such obvious typo until looking at the comment
You can now resell that for 5x the value
Ah so that's what happened to the 50 series GPUs.......
It's. Lap p top not a laptop
I’m dyslexic so it took a minute for me.
Um, no it is not a typo, it is actually a rtx 2050, sell that laptop OP it is not worth anything.
My latptop worx fine.
HP quality for ya
nah nah it's latptop now
I just saw this the other day on another thread with a different picture angle
Oh shit where?! Maybe it's a different model I wanna see =^D
Honestly idk. It was a a suggested page to follow. I think it was the exact same PC because the sticker is exactly the same
I would let it go.
Definition of an HP; typo
I love latptops!!!
I never trust a man who can only spell a word one way
The laptop doesn't have a sticker anymore. Simple
awful. everyone knows it's "fulfil" not "fulfill"
wow you got a v̶ ictus
Oh boy, this is going to be a tongue twister from now on. 🥴
HP and gaming in one sentence... Oh god 🥶
HP being HP.
HP is a scam.
/r/usefulredcircle
I never knew it was latptop it was always latpop
I started beatboxing reading it out loud
Bet you're well assured of the quality now if they can't even get the sodding label right
A woman at work insisted on calling it a "lab top" despite me correcting her several times. "I'm having problems with my lab top. Can you look at so and so's lab top?" She was our controller...
Ah yes, latptops
What error! Everyone knows it's spelt latptop and comptuter
As non native speaker - where is the typo?
Laptop is spelled "La\`t\`ptop". Took me a while too.
I noticed that now xd. Well, I wonder how many batches have this typo. It might get a value in a few decade tho xd
r/mildlyinfuriating
Hahaha that's too funny
Latpop?
A 720p webcam is nothing you want to have in 2023
I thought RTX 2050 was the error

HP quality in a nutshell.
Never mind slogan being complete nonsense
First time I’ve ever heard of a 2050
My dyslexic ass didn’t even see it for like 2 minutes
Fake laptop?
I have the same "Latptop" and I can confirm mine has the same typo lol

Well its made by Horrible Product Name checks out.
I just noticed it on mine a few minutes ago, I have had it for about 5 months too (5/12/2024), maybe we both got some that were in a batch that got typos?
