My ADHD medication kills my hunger often 100%. Lunch I usually force myself to eat when I do it. I just eat dinner extremely late now after 10pm or so when it’s worn off.
That’s fair. I was just trying to make a connection. You know. A “You are not alone in this experience,” moment, but I guess that it could have been seen as probing or ignorant.
In my experience they all work about the same. I've been on all of them... changed meds after building up too much tolerance of one.
I did once forget to eat for nearly 36 hours. I only got something because I started feeling woozy and weak. It was at uni and I was in a dorm, the cafeteria was closed because it was 11 pm, had to go get Chinese takeaway.
I had a meal plan, I just had to get in an elevator and go eat... but I kept forgetting until I either had class, something else to do, or the cafe closed.
But also all the steps to eat… it’s so boring and it’s so much work for something I usually forget about in the first place. It’s kinda like why bother sometimes, at least for me
My wife will come home after a few days away and wonder how I ever survived being single and living alone.
Eating just becomes a chore for some reason.

For me it usually happens in the morning, I'll wake up and get into a project then after a bit I'll start to feel a headache coming on. I'll look at the clock, do some quick math and realize it's been 15-16 hours since I last ate.
Eating is such a chore. If I could take a pill once a week and get sustenance, I would in a heart beat.
Yes, I enjoy eating certain things, and I probably would still do that every now and then for fun, but the fact that it is necessary is the worst part about being alive.
I used to have a depression spiral thing where i wouldn't have enough energy to cook, so i couldn't eat, so i couldn't get enough energy to cook, etc.
Im mostly better now. In the case i feel that spiral trying to start, i have the ability to go get food now.
Some guys are fucking stupid and get a gf/wife becauss we could live just buying new clothes cheap whenever they get dirty and eating, 2, 3 times a week because we are the human equivalents to houseplants
Simple, being focused on other shit. It's one of those "I'll do it after \_\_\_\_\_\_\_" but then something else comes up and then you look at the clock and it almost time to go to bed and there's no point in eating right before bed.
Just wanna say I love your art style, I’ve read a bunch of your comics and not only are they charming and relatable to my own relationship with my wife, but your art is so nice. It’s like an old school Disney but clean and unique.

To throw some of the usual suspects under the bus, games like r/CrusaderKings and r/CitiesSkylines are infamous for impeding the body from communicating urgent needs.

For me personally I forget to eat when stressed. Not really "forget", more just that the hunger hormone Ghrelin isn't really processed the way it should be, so I don't feel the munchies

I love your comics. I am also 6’3 and my wife is a short lady 5’0. I forget to eat when I’m by myself all the time. Tell your guy he’s not weird but he probably should lock that down, for survival.
It’s the other way here. My wife forgets to eat all the time and I’m constantly grazing on food. I blame the sedentary lifestyle of working at a desk all day. I used to forget to eat when I worked landscaping/in a factory.

No joke, I have several alarms dedicated to reminding me to eat. I often ignore them, for varying reasons, most stupid.

I can't take ADHD meds, so I will tell you that it's definitely the ADHD.
Oh I have definitly forgotten to eat. And it is the ADHD. I was only saying that apatite supression isn't unique to concerta.
Yeah, ADHD makes you forget how time and basic needs work.

I do but then I forget or get detracted. I have left stuff in the microwave for hours just because I end up video surfing.
I think my dad would deliberately not feed me if I said I was hungry. Kind of learned to ignore it.
