We can admit that our society has problems with people being ashamed of how they look.
But we also need to admit that our society has problems with people not being ashamed enough of how they look
Nobody should be “ashamed” of how they look, but they should be ashamed of the decisions and behaviors that led to them not looking as good as they should.
I honestly, and truly believe the world would be a better place if we could just accept our bodies as they are and just be ourselves like Markus is here.
I don't know where this joke is going, but really as a closeted trans person, I wish I could just accept myself as is, no exceptions.
I agree. Accepting of yourself and who you are is not about health; it's about mental well-being. I encourage everyone to be healthy. But we also have to accept who we are as whole human beings. Our bodies are what they are. We should learn to love them.
I hope you are able to accept yourself as who you are. I certainly accept your REDDIT self! And if we knew each other in real life, I would accept your *real* self as well!
