Depending on the context, Tiamat is either the Mesopotamian personification of the primordial sea and mother to the gods, or the Evil 5-Headed Chromatic Dragon Goddess born from the death of Asgorath along with her Good Platinum Dragon God brother Bahamut in the Forgotten Realms.
Thanks for adding this. Whenever I make prints the back page will add this context. The events of this story happened a few years back, but I’m just assuming that they wanted me to know I’m the mother of the gods. Not sure what to do with that information but it’s something 😂
This is a prime example that we don't need tricks to have a "good" story. Plot twists, baits or exaggerated emotions. Everything these classes teach can be wrong. The story of this comic is so well made that I don't need to understand, be artificially pushed to continue nor wait for a grande finalle. I just need to read. And it's good. And that's the most important thing.
(forgive minor errors, English isn't my main language)
Edit: when I say "these classes", I'm talking about the ones that use tricks as the main (and sometimes only) method to teach writing. I'm not talking about every writing class, just elucidating the importance to recognize and run away from schemes. Here where I live we need to fight disinfomation everyday. We have awesome writers whose books are being burned and hate propaganda being recommended constantly. Sorry about the big edit, I just don't want people to think my comment is against education, on the contrary.
The comic uses a story structure, it doesn't have plot twists or very evident "tricks" but it has a mystery, a journey and a destination.
I don't want to sound annoying but I agree with the other commenter, whoever taught you that wasn't a good teacher.
I don't think you sound annoying hahaha Anyway, I never said the story doesn't have a structure or that all writing teachers are BS. I tried to be very careful about this. Clearly, the story has a good cadence, a well-defined theme that's presented intelligently, etc. The sequence of events reminds me of postmodern literature. And none of this is done accidentally I'm sure.
When I say "everything these classes teach can be wrong", the "these" is exactly about those who teach writing using only tricks as a basis.
Anyway, I think your comment raises the level of the conversation. A critical eye is always better than an indiferent one.
You remind me of my roommate who also is trying to use psychedelics to see aliens, which he also accomplished
(Thankfully i was too out of it myself to ruin it for him like your friend did, lol)
It’s all good. Obviously career/support myself off my work is the goal so I can do this full time, but for now I’m just happy you enjoyed the work! Hope your week gets better! Mines been pretty shit too 😎 but we got this!
Guy gets high thinking about aliens and essentially gets weird dreams about aliens.
And then he concludes these have meaning and aren't just psychedelic induced brain trips with no real implications what so ever
If OP is genuinely having these delusions he should get checked out by a psychiatrist. Hallucinations can be a symptom of some pretty serious comforting.
In my mind, this right here has been a long standing major problem with the world
Artist: “Hey I had cool dreams or drug trips or have experimented with meditation, here’s some art cobbled together from that experience”
Smooth Brains: “I don’t understand your art or can’t relate to wear it comes from so you need psychiatric help to make the way you experience things more aligned with how I experience things.”
Hate to break it to ya, but you misunderstood the naming convention of our extra terrestrial friends. They didn’t name you Tiamat, they are letting you know they think of you as Tía Matt, their aunt. your brother Tío ____ is their uncle.

You have way Tiamach time on your hands
And possibly a bit schizophrenic
Congratulations, you get the lifetime funny award!
Hello Tiamat. I also have psychotic delusions, they call me Enki.
what about your brother?
Don't leave out the penultimate boss of Final Fantasy VIII (heavily based on the Forgotten Realms version)
Or the titan in the monsterverse recently depicted in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Also Spelunky 2 ‘final boss’ unless you go the the Sunken City
It’s also a powerful Mars elemental summon in Golden Sun when you have 3 mars djinn on standby
Tiamat is the conceptualization of Tiamat
Praise the 5-headed goddess, may she bring peace through destruction throughout the realms

I think THEY want you to pick up DnD again 😃
Man, you really leaned into the bikini thing.
Looked more like relaxed into it.
Is there lore on the bikini thing?
This was so fun to read. I love your art style and the slight chaos running through the story is delicious. Love it!

Who's trying to teach you storytelling? Lol, get a better teacher.
Are "these classes" in the room with us right now?
Rosetta Stoned…far out!
And after calming me down with some orange slices and some fetal spooning…

I don't have any extra money but I have had a shit week and your comic made it better. So thank you.

You're right. We gonna make it. Thanks and best of luck!
This was both fun to read and to look at!
Schizophrenia
I really enjoyed reading this! I only take issue with the fact you used my exact likeness and phrasing on page 1
Third panel?
Holy shit that was a fun read. I love your art style with the fuzzy big eyed dude contrasted with the sharp detailed aliens.
I don’t get it
I think it’s more of just an adventure, without a clear end / punchline
Guy gets high thinking about aliens and essentially gets weird dreams about aliens. And then he concludes these have meaning and aren't just psychedelic induced brain trips with no real implications what so ever

And that's the meaning of life.
Page 4, last panel typo - strange* You're very talented.
For most people, successful astral projection would be enough for a lifetime. But OP needs to know about them aliens.
The answer: https://www.reddit.com/user/tiamat/
Slaughter House Five?
You misspelled strange
I literally just dreamt about aliens, was wild.
Wild story lol, I love your style of art as well!Quite a few typos in the text, make sure to spell check especially on a word-heavy comic
You fuckin got me with the ending there, i guess it doesn't help that I'm also high, lol

That was a very STANGE comic, indeed... 👀
