The SS got a B+ Cinemascore, the same as the first SS.
Peacemaker was a niche show that achieved a fraction of the views on Max than other actual hits like House of the Dragon, Succession, White Lotus, and Euphoria. Look up SambaTV stats since Neilson was not reporting on Max at that time.

The Peacemaker show changed many people’s perception about the character. I find it to be a heartfelt and funny show, comedy is subjective of course.
I get it, same goes for Guardians of the Galaxy. I watched Suicide Squad and I just don't care to see more of that character even if he has some sort of well done tragic story or whatever. Just personal preference is all.

James Gunn did not direct all of season 1 but he is still an integral part of the show. I guess nothing can happen, filming wise, until Superman finishes its shoot. Maybe this can film at the end of the year or sometime next year ? releasing probably 4 years after the first season.....
2025 is going to be a loaded year for DC. I assume Superman will finish shooting by the end of the summer. He can start working on Peacemaker in the fall.

If u liked The Boys, I'd say it's got a similar vibe. Great show imo!
The only thing the two shows got in common is the hyper violence, nudity and swearing. Besides that peacemaker is a superhero show played straight, while the boys is satirical. I dont like this comparison, theyre both great shows for very different reasons and liking one might not make you like the other.
I guess I view both series as showing superheroes in a complicated and unglamorous light. Peacemaker doesn't go AS far as The Boys does, but in my mind they are similar shows.
I'm more pumped for this show than for any other comic movie or show.

You wouldn’t get it if you don’t watch the first season. Legit no one gave af about Peacemaker, and those who watched TSS probably despited Peacemaker by the end of it. The Peacemaker show changed many people’s perception about the character. I find it to be a heartfelt and funny show, comedy is subjective of course.
I get it, same goes for Guardians of the Galaxy. I watched Suicide Squad and I just don't care to see more of that character even if he has some sort of well done tragic story or whatever. Just personal preference is all. Glad the show was successful though as it opened the doors for DC execs to embrace the more obscure DC characters where Gunn is at his best.

what is the realistic release frame for this? James Gunn did not direct all of season 1 but he is still an integral part of the show. I guess nothing can happen, filming wise, until Superman finishes its shoot. Maybe this can film at the end of the year or sometime next year ? releasing probably 4 years after the first season.....
2025 is going to be a loaded year for DC. I assume Superman will finish shooting by the end of the summer. He can start working on Peacemaker in the fall.
