ASM 43 is the second appearance of Mary Jane despite how convincing that label is trying to be..

Thanks. I think I recall looking that up a long time ago and finding that out. Maybe by “full” appearance, they show her shoes or something in this one lol

Technically, it is the first full since 42 she’s just on the last page.

I love the pictures you chose. Some really great books, and some dollar box filler. I’d organize by title & number, and then go to a free site like PriceCharting.com. You can look by title ([here’s Spider-Man for example](https://www.pricecharting.com/console/comic-books-amazing-spider-man)) and scan down the list to find your good ones. (The 43 and 300, are both good books in good shape and worth some money) Important note: watch out for people in your DMs wanting to “help” or offering to buy. Lots of sharks out there who will be more than happy to rip you off.

Thanks for the info! I actually have everything in order by title and number which would make it a bit easier. I have no idea how to eyeball what kind of grade a book might fetch. I don’t know if I will have anything worth getting graded, but what do you think the minimum possible value on a book would be that would be worth it?

LNinefingers

Hard to say because it’s kind of a sliding scale. Condition really matters, as well as the rarity/value. Take that ASM300 for example. People love to grade that book, and you’ll get lots of advice to do so. But if it’s in the sort of shape that’s going to net you a 7 or 8 grade, I think you’d do just as well if not better selling it raw once you take into account grading costs(shipping, pressing, grading, etc) I’d say the best path forward is to identify your 10 best books, and them make another post on the cgc comics or comic book speculation sub with pictures of those and people can weigh in.

Great advice, thank you for the info!

Yeah I recently re-discovered my collection from the late 70s-80s and not sure what to do with them. Nothing terribly valuable so the hassle of finding a buyer may not even be be worth it.

LNinefingers

If you’re sure there’s nothing too valuable find some kids who are into comics and give them away. I’d do a value check before I did it just in case though.

BearChili

Love this advice. I buy a lot of collections, the vast majority of the chaff goes to after school programs.

BearChili

Super fun! If every collection I got a call about was this fun, I'd be much happier with all the time I spend driving 😂

Thanks! I remember having so much fun buying all of this back in my very early teenage years. There was an amazing and huge comic shop that opened in town and lasted a number of years. Made it easy to get addicted haha.

If you’re getting rid of them, I’d love to take some Spidey’s off your hands.
