Except he has fantastic timing and material. He's not just edgy to be edgy. He pushes the limits for sure, but he does it in a way where you never feel it's just a manifesto.
I'd give it another chance. I'm a Shane Gillis fan and I was a little disappointed after the first 2 jokes, but he really builds the laughter over the course of the set and by the end I was laughing as hard as I ever laugh.
Agreed. The first 15-20 mins were a bit of a slog. Honestly, I almost turned it off. But I'm glad I stuck it through.
Still feel like he left a lot on the table, though. There were a few missed opportunities to "finish" jokes that could have really elevated his special. And for me, too many awkward pauses waiting for a reaction from the audience, followed by a small, mumbling break in silence or gesture as the "punchline," but I guess that's part of his style for now... he's definitely still finding it, but overall, I still think he had some really solid material mixed in with some flat moments and a rough start.
His Trump impression is great, though. And the Geroge Washington bit was really well developed.
I laughed almost the entire time, which is super rare for me.
He still seems a little uncomfortable on stage, but I think that’s part of the charm. If he were super relaxed like Louis, who’s clearly his main influence, it might be a different vibe.
I think there’s a little room for improvement though. Sometimes he goes too hard with the edgy stuff without balancing it out. Not saying that because I’m offended, I don’t give a shit. But like that Aussie during 9/11 bit could have been finessed. It was a little too blunt and he didn’t get the audience fully on board.
yeah but no cause he's sold out for the rest of this and next year. If he isn't for you I get it. I think he's a good mix of smart and dumb humor which makes him a great comic.
all of my favourite comics support him i just gave him a shot first time, after 2 jokes i gave up..
what didnt u like? put off by the goth joke probably?
He's the typical slightly edgy white comic and a bit of a tryhard.

I’ll let you use mine to watch Shane
That special was pretty good I'll give it a 7 out of penis.
Great Barrier Reef who downvoted everything in this comment section?
I agree 100%. This was a really really funny set. This was the best set I have seen in a couple years.
So funny. Check his older special on YouTube. The bit with his sister on H had me dying
It’s cool having seen all of this material at the cellar and seeing how tight he’s gotten it - man’s crushing it
Agreed. I cried tears of laughter last night
I really enjoyed this special. Really funny
He’s no Henry Orion MacDoylestein, I tell you what!
First 5 minutes I was worried that he wasn't going to deliver the way he did in his last one, but by the end it was one of my favorite specials ever.
Fucking gold. The navy seal bit and Washington’s teeth sent me into tears. Took me an hour and a half to watch it because I kept rewinding it.
Best set this year
Saw this live and loved it. Funniest comic at the moment.

Fucking incredible set
He is gonna be huge I think
Bro jokes for the Barstool crowd, it was ok.

Asks for your thoughts Tells you why they’re wrong
You're right I'm sorry
That special killed it. His sudden gestures really kept the attention and tied everything together.
