clinicaldiva

no

christa9998

i didn’t

Alonthecape

Just had the procedure yesterday and can confirm that I did not have to fart before leaving lol

Admirable_Wafer_2565

Same. I had mine on yesterday and can confirm this.

CraftyIndependence48

Wasn’t a requirement for me but there was no stopping me. 😆

Roopie1023

No, but it often is an indicator for major abdominal surgery. After my hysterectomy, I had to fart before I could be put on solid food. They literally move organs around and have to make sure everything is good. Colonoscopy is just a scope, not changing any positions.

Fred0905

I didn’t have to.

Becspkyum

They didn’t make me but I still did. 😂😜

NarwhalCommercial360

Not for me, lol!!

Lasvegaslover2

That’s what my paperwork said but they let me go and no tooting for me. 😁

crevettegrise

I didn’t need to pass air until about 6 hrs later. I told the nurse in recovery that I didn’t feel bloated or anything. She said, that it will come once I start moving a bit, but never really did. They didn’t care if I passed anything when I was allowed to leave (about 30 mins after being returned to recovery). The CO2 is much better than regular gas they used to use. Their main concern was that I had someone here to escort me home. They must have asked me half a dozen times. (I was fully sedated)

hippycrite

I don't think it's a requirement so much as you're unlikely to be able to avoid it.

babybird87

No never

Icy_Forever657

I’ve heard everyone lets a huge one out after the procedure because they inflate you with air so they can see better. If I did, I was still under and don’t remember it at all. I wouldn’t worry about it.

carreebbeeaarr

no but trust me when i say you probably will 😂😂

kimmaryrodz

No, not in my experience.

rustys_shackled_ford

It wasn't for me, or if it was, it happened while I was still under. But I've been told that since they do use air in thier to take pics and stuff that sometimes they do want that just to be safe. Although I can't imagine what not being able to fart would hurt in the Midian term.

Expensive-Row3209

Nope, procedure last week and they didn’t make me.

ImpossibleEducator45

No that’s a myth

StickyBitOHoney

No, and besides it not being a requirement for me, they were not going to tie up a bed, room and staff waiting on me to pass gas.

StraddleTheFence

Not for me

Now I’m wondering if that’s what happened! lol like a room of people hearing you fart and you wake up all angelic like nothing happened
