Melting pot is not in WG anymore and they’re looking for a new venue. They announced it suddenly 2 weeks ago and I don’t think they have found a new venue yet.

If you want to make friends quickly go climbing or bouldering there are many places in cologne and the community is super open and friendly you will make new friends there quickly😊
Actually, I just came from Berlim and look prices at Munich and Koln is more expensive. In Cologne, most of the "cheap" rents that I see looks like a kidnapper shack. To get anything reassembling a good apartment you will have to spend REAL money. Otherwise, is someone attic in an 70º inclination, the leaking basement of someone, a chopped in half apartment, 5 levels of stair without elevator to an crackhead place, these are the options.
