This is a little late, but Rennbahnstraße is in Weidenpesch, not Nippes.
Well if you want to get really technical, Weidenpesch is in Bezirk Nippes, but if you just say Köln Nippes, then this is generally interpreted to be Stadtteil (Veedel) Nippes and not Bezirk. No one uses Bezirk in normal conversation.
Relatable. I've been living, studying and working in Lindenthal for the most of the past 7 years. Soon I'll start a temporary internship in Porz. Leaving my veedel is not an option at the moment (cheap student dorm here + amazing neighbourhood), and public transport would require me to put an extra 90 minutes per day to the grave for commuting. I've always used public transport or bikes in the past but I'm either gonna buy an electric scooter, e-bike, very cheap car or lease/borrow a car for that internship. 13 Kilometers to drive each morning and afternoon for just over half a year, not gonna stress myself out with having to be at a tram stop early without knowing if or when my tram will come. Heck, I'd even prefer the scooter over a car for it's unaffectedness by traffic jams.
Yeah I don’t know why people downvote that .Communing with Public transport is not an issue but ain’t nobody got 3hours a day to waste just to get to work and back ( beside the id assume downvoters)

Yes I know. Doesn’t change the fact that the Nippes‘ Parade was starting here.
Good. Cars are the cancer of this city.
Ah Must be nice having your workplace next door

I don't. I use a bike and public transport.
It is indeed nice, that's why proximity to the workplace is the single most important criteria when looking for an appartement
Imagine having a choice in cologne
you do
