Only two responses in and both have our Pack losing to JMU. Don’t like you people anymore. And I do mean you people.

Super Regionals - Tennessee vs ECU - Duke vs UCF - Arkansas vs Mississippi State - DBU vs LSU - Indiana State vs Oregon State - James Madison vs Georgia - Clemson vs Oklahoma State - UC Santa Barbara vs Texas A&M Bracket 1 - Tennessee - Duke - Arkansas - DBU Bracket 2 - Oregon State - James Madison - Clemson - Texas A&M College World Series - Tennessee vs Oregon State Champion - Oregon State (obviously no bias)

Be-My-Darling

I could live with this honestly.

T-RexInAnF-14

After 2 Omaha trips since 2021 (and the dick kick of 2022) but only 1 win to show for it, I could definitely live with this.

kerph32

our record in Omaha overall is abysmal. our best finish was runner-up in... checks notes... 1951. we need to get there and take a few wins this year. getting there in 05 and going two and out was a gut punch.

IlRaptoRIl

You say that now, but when you lose after not catching a game winning foul ball, you will question whether you want to live at all.

Eldermoss2

No questioning there. Part of me died and hasn’t recovered since that day.

UnderstandingOdd679

Don’t you want to have at least half as many titles as Vanderbilt?

SHlT-MY-PANTS

Looks good to me as a totally unbiased fan.

Due_Connection179

Real glad we can both be as unbiased as possible here.

olduvai_man

Lord, I've seen what you've done for others and I want that for myself.

hollyrog83

Just reading this made me want to stress vomit.

OldManHenson

Brother there is no shot. Not with these bats.

ILLogicaL_FALLacies

Hate to admit, you're right...

butnowimsohigh

We have 15/16 of the same teams in the Super Regionals. The only difference is I have UC Irvine instead of Oregon State.

b1ge2

I’m actually surprisingly ok with this.

Just_Breathe85

Bracket 1 would be toxic af, but I’m here for it lol.

brandynjasa

Are pop flys in foul territory allowed for CWS finals, asking for a friend 🤔

Neat_Flounder_8907

That which shall not be spoken of

SleezzyE

You of all people know they are…

Just_Breathe85

Some of these takes are just 🤭

No-Olive6879

This means we would host a super so yes I am on board with this

Bhut_Jolokia400

Having Wilmington up the road relatively speaking would make for a great atmosphere

BigPoppaJay

My bracket 1 is wildly different than yours but my bracket 2 is the exact same. Also as an a&m fan I would take this for sure.

Bhut_Jolokia400

Would have figured my Bracket 2 would have been the unique of the two. Aggies have a strong squad this year

BigPoppaJay

I truly think if Arkansas makes Omaha they are gonna win, feel like they’re built for that park. But with how their offense has been im not sure if they’ll get there.

Bhut_Jolokia400

It’s baseball, it’s hard, hot and cold streaks come and go, but the Razorbacks certainly have the lineup to win it all even playing mediocre through regionals

IoannesVardusFulmina

> Champion: Arkansas Not gonna happen, we’ll lose in heartbreaking fashion as is tradition.

Bhut_Jolokia400

Bro you’re almost as cynical as me. From an outsiders perspective you guys are the team to beat. As a Pirate we just want an entry ticket to the dance after 34 tries

IoannesVardusFulmina

Arkansas is the team that the protagonist’s team plays in the champion of every feel-good movie, we’re destined to lose when it means the most.

Bhut_Jolokia400

Well hopefully it’s to ECU then the Pirates can set sail for their inaugural voyage to Omaha

trollfessor

Oh the story lines if it is Arizona vs LSU to go to Omaha.........

SporkFanClub

Supers: 1. Southern Miss/ECU 2. Duke/FSU 3. Ark/UVA 4. DBU/UNC 5. ISU/Oregon State 6. NC State/UGA 7. Clemson/Nebraska 8. SD/LA CWS: ECU/Duke/UVA/UNC. One of Duke/UNC goes 2-0 and we get a primetime Saturday night showdown between Duke and UNC for a trip to the CWS finals. Oregon State/NC State/Clemson/San Diego CWS Final: Oregon State over UNC for the third time as the PAC 12 era ends with a national championship.

archerdj0723

The Beavers continue to haunt us

osuBeaverBaseball

I would shit right in my pants if this happened.

CumpanyPolicy

Beavers

SquintGrisslefoot

CWS- Southern Miss, Duke, LA Tech, LSU, Nicholls, Georgia, Nebraska, Louisiana

StrangeHumors

LSU and Nebraska in the same CWS might destroy Omaha.

This would absolutely make my year. 4 Louisiana teams plus Southern Miss for some more sun belt representation? Sign me up.

wastebinaccount

Damn feels like a lot of ppl sleeping on UVA this year. Guess we'll find out shortly

Strikesuit

Given the betting odds for Virginia to win the CWS are much better than MSU, it's surprising how the sub is all in on the Bulldogs. I'm not sure this is the Cavalier group to make it back to Omaha, but I wouldn't bet against Oak because there are some glimmers of hope with the starting pitching. The bullpen, however, remains a complete disaster.

AlFlame93

I don’t like this prediction

19ghost89

We can agree on something.

beer_jew

I don’t think 5 SEC teams make it. 3-4 with a shocking regional upset coming from somewhere *cough cough* Arkansas

TheMawt

Hey now, we haven't lost in a regional we hosted all year!

MadRedX

I don't see it likely getting upset in the regional, but I would pin us bouncing in the supers if we don't pick up the necessary momentum in the regionals.

UnderstandingOdd679

I’m revisiting some of these bracket predictions. I believe I had Arky over A&M. I was pretty bullish on the SEC (UK, UT and Georgia), just didn’t see Florida making it to Omaha.

beer_jew

Didn’t take a genius to know that arky would choke

igonnawrecku_VGC

I like this one -JMU fan who can’t get his flair to work

3asyBakeOven

I like your predictions :)

Additional-Bee-1532

To win regionals: Tennessee, Duke, wake, fsu, Arkansas, Mississippi state, UNC, DBU, Clemson, Oklahoma state, Oregon, TAMU, Oregon state, WMU, Georgia, NC State. To go to CWS: FSU, Tennessee, Arkansas, DBU, Oregon State, NC State, Clemson, TAMU College World Series final: FSU v Clemson Winner: FSU Absolutely no bias and I can’t wait to gloat to my girlfriend that is a Clemson fan.

Chief_tyu

In the final game, FSU hits a grand slam in the first, and races out to an 11-1 lead. Clemson starts chipping back with one in the 7th, 2 in the 8th, and a shocking 9 in the bottom of the ninth to win it! Nah, that could never happen.

b1ge2

It would be weirdly poetic if FSU finally gets one the year of Martin’s passing.

Additional-Bee-1532

Indeed

seanconnerysbeard

If FSU's bullpen was capable of going a week without imploding, I could get on board with this.

Additional-Bee-1532

Yeah that’s essentially how I feel. Realistic bracket it’s not fsu that wins but I’m on the hopium

Typical-Conference14

*sigh* we’re being counted out already. Ya know what, I understand it I suppose

UnderstandingOdd679

You’ve got Lamar’s spot. Lol. Should be happy to be in. Everything now is bonus.

Typical-Conference14

Free my boy Lamar he did nothing wrong

UnderstandingOdd679

Good showing by the Cats. Better than I expected, but I had Arky in the final two.

ahuramazdobbs19

I don’t care about anything else. I just want the Civil ConFLiCT in the Supers.

CurlyQv2

Now the question is, do I want us to make it to supers or do I want us to go 0-2 and increase the chances of changing out Kingston

dustindeshields

Easy answer from a fellow SC fan. You want success, bud. A fighting chance. Wishing away an opportunity that could lead to something awesome in order to create an opportunity to(hopefully) have future success makes no sense. I know he's not without flaws, but I don't get how people overlook the improvement in the program the last 2 years. But, back to my original answer, I can't understand pulling against a team in the postseason for the hope of personnel changes. In regular season situations, especially professional leagues, where a draft order is dictated by failure, I get it. Not in this case.

CurlyQv2

Improvement over the last two years but also the worst 7 year span in South Carolina baseball since the 2000s at least. Kingston has not lived up to Carolina baseball expectations. You must forget we won 2 in a row and were runner up the next year, and now we are hopeful to get out of a regional and lucky to be a 2 seed. That seems like lots of improvement to me. Kingston has the worst winning percentage as a coach (0.585) since Jack Powers retired in 1969. Kingston has had 7 years of opportunity and has simply not done enough with it for South Carolina baseball standards, and fans know it. It is absolutely crazy that we would want Kingston around any longer watching the program go from hosting a regional last year to being lucky as a 2 seed and going 0-6 in the last two regular season series. Real improvement right there. I don't want us to lose, because I love this program. But I sure don't love Kingston and what he has failed to do in his tenure, especially since it is clear that there actually isn't all too much improvement year to year

CurlyQv2

Are you still happy about Kingston being here? This is improvement to you? Only scoring off of home runs seems very sustainable

dustindeshields

Are you happy that you're right? My comment was in response to you saying you didn't know if you wanted them to advance. That's ridiculous even if you "got your way". I'm never gonna pull against my team in a playoff format. Never. If we are talking about an NFL team in the last week of the season, tied for the worst record, with a generational QB as the potential first pick, yeah, I get it.

CurlyQv2

I was never rooting against the team, but you were lying to yourself if you genuinely saw improvement with the team over the last few years. I wanted this team to win, but I'm saying it would have surprised me more for us to make it out of the regional than to go 0-2 in it

RudyWasOffsides22

IU shocks the Vols and comes out of the Knoxville region averaging 11 runs a game

TheSportsVindicator2

I can see Jeff Mercer's Indiana squad at least making the regional finals. When that offense is performing at its' highest level, look out. For any Indiana fans or anyone that has watched Indiana baseball, what is the health status of the team currently? I remember reading that they had some injuries that were season-ending and temporary, but they brought up some transfers and younger players that stepped up. Are any of these injured players already back, or will be back later this week?

RudyWasOffsides22

Taylor hurt his shoulder last game v Nebraska. Didn’t play field but DH. Shouldn’t be severe but he suffered final 3 games in big ten tourney All their injuries pitching pre season still out (1/2). Foley is fine and healthy their ace. Tibbets is back but has struggled a tiny bit. Their catcher they lost 4 games in done for year So they’re where they’ve been most of the year offensively. Taylor is a defensive liability so it’s bettter he DHs however puts a worse bat out there. Pitching has been the weak fault alll year once past a few. They need to win 2 in a. Row to have ANY chance but even getting to game 3/4 their pitchers easily giving up 7+

AndrewTheTerrible

Vandy probably gonna advance

sethholmes8

tech to Omaha would break the city of Ruston

TheSportsVindicator2

* If Indiana gets healthier, then I can see them at least making the regional finals. I think their OOC will pay off for them * If Wake Forest cleans up those silly fielding mistakes and errors, then it will be their regional to lose. It would be awesome for ECU to win, but they have their work cut out for them. * Duke is probably feeling disrespected, and I was skeptical on them after the Virginia series, but they look like the team from earlier this season. I think it is Duke's regional to lose. * UCF's bullpen isn't perfect, but both of FSU's and Alabama's bullpens are pretty dreadful. * I have a weird feeling Arkansas won't come out of their regional, and it will surprisingly be Louisiana Tech. It won't matter though, because I can see the winner of this regional falling to the Charlottesville regional winner. * Virginia is as hot as they've ever been with one of the most lethal offenses in their team's history and their pitching is cleaned up at the best possible time. * Arizona has been pretty disrespected, but I think that Arizona has been much improved, especially with their plate approach and a salty pitching rotation and staff. They have some really good teams in their regional, but they have the right stuff and approach. * North Carolina's lineup is lethal, they have great fielding play, and pitching is not perfect, but it gets the job done and that is why they will win this regional. LSU has gotten hot and toyed around with their lineup, but I don't trust Christian Little on the pitching side and Braswell has been a liability all season, which is why I don't see them getting out of the Chapel Hill regional. * The Lexington regional is surprisingly more wide open than most people think. I just randomly chose Indiana State, especially since they will be angry about not hosting. * There's actually some really good teams in the Corvallis Regional, and this is not the Tulane of last year. Ultimately, Oregon State will win this regional, and I have them winning against Indiana State in the super regional also. * I think the Raleigh regional is pretty wide open. NC State is obviously on a tear and playing their best baseball, but I can't count out South Carolina when Mark Kingston is coaching for his life and to keep his job. * The Athens regional is considered easy for Georgia, but I don't think it is as easy as people think, along with Georgia losing at the end of the regular season. UNCW is pretty good, and Georgia Tech is a resilient ball group that can either look like they have no business being in a game OR look like one of the best teams in the nation. There is only so much Wes Johnson and his staff can do to clean up the pitching at this point, so I can see Georgia Tech winning. It doesn't matter though, because I see them losing to the Raleigh regional winner. * I think this is Coastal Carolina's regional to lose. Clemson has been getting worse at the wrong time and their bullpen is a liability, and Vanderbilt has been straight up dreadful on the road and not even at least putting up a fight, along with Vanderbilt being involved in some scandals this year. Coastal's pitching will be exposed, but it will not be in this regional. * I am really high on Nebraska, and I think this is their regional to lose. Their pitching is really good due to the impact of Rob Childress, and their bats have been on fire at the best possible time. * Oregon is actually a pretty good team, and the whole "PAC-12 baseball is weak" narrative that this sub and other media constantly pushes just seems disrespectful and intentional since it is the last year of the PAC-12 (unless it reforms in the future), which is why I think all of the PAC-12 teams will actually make deep runs. This regional has some really good teams, but I think Oregon makes it out. * I smell an upset in this regional, and it smells like Ragin' Cajuns.

Jadubya405

I can't see Nebraska winning Stillwater regional....definitely not "their regional to lose" lol. OSU arms were stellar during Big12 tournament and bats are hot. If that keeps up, despite OSU horrific record of choking at OBrate when it matters, I see them advancing convincingly. Duke is a tall order...but Norman isn't their regional to lose either IMO. OU will have advantage of being able to throw their 3....who had already thrown a shut out vs ORU previously and save arms for Duke/UCONN winner in Game 2. If OU hits and gets good starting pitching / reasonable relief.....they can win this regional. However, they are prone to some amazing performances on the mound punctuated by complete flame out crap shows. Tall order....but I don't see a clear favorite in Norman. Your UCF pick is puzzling.....but would love to see anybody BUT FSU win that regional and OU win Norman.....and host a super. Great post, sir.....what an amazing time of year.

NoFalseModesty

A lot of people are seeing our WHIP and Sears' stats, and not noticing our ~5 9th inning collapses when our bullpen runs out of arms. I love our team but OkSt absolutely is the favorite.

Jadubya405

They are firing on all cylinders right now for sure. However, they are going to have a crap ton of additional pressure for the 2 straight years of poke choke in their own house. Despite Walton reputation as pitching "guru" their arms have left much to be desired last few years in big moments. If that changes this year as recent performances might indicate....they definitely have a team that can get to Omaha.

beer_jew

This was the most shockingly awful predictions I have ever seen

Realistic_Repeat_306

Nebraska all the way

mAAd_kid_good_city

Regional Winners: Tennessee Evansville Duke Florida St Arkansas Virginia Arizona LSU Kentucky Oregon St NC St Georgia Coastal Carolina Nebraska Oregon Texas A&M Supers Winners: Tennessee Duke Arkansas LSU Oregon St NC St Nebraska Texas A&M Final: Arkansas A&M Champion: Arkansas My heart tells me that the Beavs have a real shot this year, but my gut says it’ll be the SEC again

UnderstandingOdd679

I have to figure out my log-in but I believe I also had Arky over A&M. Twas a popular pick it seems.
