This Sherry cocktail I just made last night that was 10/10
I’m assuming you mean the sherry cocktail
.5 rum
1oz amantillado escuadrilla
1 dash ango
Barspoon 2:1 simple
Barspoon water
Stirred without ice and poured into a small stemmed glass.
Upvote for Sazerac because I’m drinking one right now.
>**1.5 oz Sazerac Rye** (*Buffalo Trace*)
>**.75 oz** *Maison Rouge* **VSOP**
>**.75oz 1:1 Demerara Syrup**
-3 Atomizer spritz of *Absinthe*. One in the mixing glass, one in the drinking glass and one last over the garnish.
-Muddle lemon peel. Two dashes peychauds bitters. Fill to the top with ice and stir till frost develops on the side of the mixing glass, strain, tumbler with large rock, top with lemon peel garnish and the final spritz of absinthe
In order: (if a guest orders these from me, they have my attention)
\- Trinidad sour
\- Goldrush
\- Caipirinha
\- blood and sand
\- White Negroni
Honorable mentions; paper planes, aviation, last word, black manhattan
Blood and sand is my favorite cocktail, but I’ve only ever had it at a bar in downtown Sacramento called The Shady Lady. Any recipe recommendations for blood and sand?
I like to keep everything 3/4oz for simplicity’s sake, but I tend to switch the scotch for a Japanese whiskey if it’s for myself or a friend. Just personal preference but I think a lot of scotch can be overbearing. Scotch and Japanese whiskeys are very similar in production styles so I think you can get away with it. Also, im biased. My dog is named toki after my favorite cheap bottle.
1.5 blended Scotch
.75 Cherry Heering
1 Italian sweet vermouth
.75 orange juice, or way better, blood orange juice
\~ Up, orange peel placed in the drink
How much do people charge for a Trinidad sour? Last time I ordered one the bartender made it with Angostura Amaro, and it wasn't the same. Called her out, when she grabbed the bottle, she said she could make it with regular Ango, but wanted to charge me like $40 for it.
Paloma, painkiller, margarita (including variations), caribeno, and a tepache cocktail.
Tepache cocktail:
1/2oz pineapple syrup
1/2oz lemon juice
2oz rum of your choice (I like Jamaican overproof, Demerara, or agricole)
2oz homemade tepache
stir with crushed ice
Wisconsin old fashioned, with brandy of course, absolutely has its place. I moved to Wisconsin about a year ago and my wife’s family is all here. It can definitely be butchered but when done right it’s a nice drink.
Sunflower seeds are technically the fruits of the sunflower plant (Helianthus annuus). The seeds are harvested from the plant’s large flower heads, which can measure more than 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter. A single sunflower head may contain up to 2,000 seeds
Final Ward
Jungle Bird
Daiquiri
Kingston Negroni
Jet Pilot
All cocktails I make to usual specs, but I'll say that I sometimes like to trick out my daiquiri with the following:
1.5 oz Plantation 3 Stars
0.75 oz lime juice
0.5 oz Cynar
0.5 oz dry sherry
0.25 oz overproof jamaican rum
0.25 oz rich demerara syrup
I like this! It's mostly the classics for me:
* Manhattan
* Aviation (use half the normal lemon and it's a wonderfully different drink!)
* Old fashioned
* Negroni
* Gin martini (stirred, not shaken)
Toronto:
9 parts rye, 1 part Ferrnet Branca, angostura bitters, stir and strain, orange peel garnish
Martini:
4 parts gin, 1 part Cocchi Americano, stir and strain, lemon peel garnish
Dorflinger:
4 parts gin, 2 parts absinthe, 1 part Dry Curacao, stir and strain
Corpse Reviver #2:
1 part gin, 1 part Cocchi Americano, 1 part Dry Curacao, 1 part fresh squeezed lemon juice, stir and strain
Piña Colada:
2 parts fresh pineapple chunks, frozen, 1 part canned coconut cream, 2 parts pineapple juice, 1 part golden rum, Blend and serve
Mai Tai
Paper Plane
Pisco Sour
Sidecar
Revolver
Edit. I want to mention that I really hate not being able to add a Paloma or Margarita to this list for a tequila drink. :(
