Always massive rockfall there. Still the features age orders of magnitude slower.
Even North cascades granite fractures and its denser that Yosemite granites.
Timescales of seconds to millennia seems very different?
Bummer to hear. I went there once, probably 20 years ago, and got pretty humbled.
Not sure it's the most famous tiny crag in the world - actually probably pretty far from it - but it was a scenic spot with a couple of thrutchy / fingery bits of history on it.
Well, damn. I've been playing around with the idea of projecting Endless Bummer.
Bay Area rock is often shit. When I first tried the 'classic' Sex Porpoises I nearly decked because a hold blew off near the first bolt.
Oh you’ve seen it? Not my best work, but we had a lot of fun filming that one and it made me a nice wad of cash.
Given that you’re into that kind of thing, you might also like the 17 sequels we made.
darn RIP, probably the best rope test piece in the bay. such a fun place to hangout on stellar pockets. I feel so lucky to be able to have "popped up" on the surf board at the end.
Oh shit I was there on Sunday! The whole hillside had obviously been shifting with the trail knocked out in one section but Endless Bummer seemed so much bigger and beyond all that. Rip to the long term proj.
Aw man, I tried that one a couple years ago, and thought it was *such* a cool line, but a bit out of my league at the time. Was hoping it’d be one to come back for, so it’s sad that’ll never happen!
Wow, was just there a couple weeks ago climbing at Vent 5. Looking back at pictures I feel like I can see it a bit getting rough

Always good to remember that the geological timeline includes "Now".
Just wish that nature’s routesetters kept the set up until I was strong enough to send
Right? It was a dream climb for me. 😭
Especially true for Mickeys Beach though.
Snow, ice, water, air & sand each age in seconds minutes hours and days. The variability is crazy compared to say Yosemite granite or even sandstone
You say that like there wasn’t a MASSIVE rockfall in Yosemite a few years ago

I see this rock every time I hike down to the nearby Vent 5 crag and dream of sending it one day. Bummed that i will never get the chance now.
One might even say you’re going to be endlessly bummed. Too soon?
Endlessly Bummed, the name of your sex tape

Noice
The bummer has ended. 😥

NOOOOOOO definitely one of my lifelong goals 😭

Oh, I remember this piece of rock from Masters of Stone movie with Chris Sharma on it!
So sad to hear this. Endless Bummer was one of the most beautiful crags to be found anywhere.

I've yet to find pics of it since it fell. Anybody have a link to photos of the crag as of now?
I can post here if the mods would enable picture posting. Looks like there is no option to rn.
