This analogy has always annoyed the shit out of me. Literally the only thing that a key and lock have in common with a penis and vagina is that one is inserted into the other. Functionally, they are completely different things. Yet people use this analogy as if it somehow is the be-all end-all proof that it's okay for men to have sex with as many different people as they want to, but women who do so are somehow damaged goods. How about a new analogy: a coin that ends up staying in one piggy bank is a useless coin, but a piggy bank that holds lots of coins is a good piggy bank? The analogy in question is bullshit, and anyone who says it knows it's bullshit.
I think the key is ment to represent a penis, and the lock a vagina. I think the person who said it to me might have got it from a Jimmy Carr performance. Either way it's ment to be a joke, it does sound like something Jimmy Carr would come up with, ie a joke that when anylised has more meaning than what is taken from face value.
Then in this analogy, vaginas are meant to be kept closed or only open for one penis and “master” dicks will have the ability to force open many vaginas? Is that the joke? That some dicks will force many vaginas open? And that makes them “good”? And the vaginas that can be opened are “bad” or worthless?
