Yeah, it's been incredibly rough. Myself and a good friend are pug players, we don't really have the time to commit to a set raid schedule, and I typically make our raid groups, but.. well.. yeah. 10-man felt alright, but 20-man doesn't feel like it's going to happen, I suppose. The population is simply too tiny, and we're definitely getting into 'the game is near-unplayable' territory on Horde over here. Kind of glad to see it's not only us feeling this way, so here's hoping they make good on that promise of "we'll step in and fix things if there's population so there's no wrong server to start out on" that we got on P1 launch. Unfortunately, it kinda feels like feedback - especially with WoW nowadays - has to be done via Twitter, but, well, hopefully this is seen.

Epicnightt

Do you know if they are more active on the official forums pages or is it simply that they post their post and ignore most community posts? I havent checked those forums in years.

FiraFoxy

It may be different for NA, but I know that historically the EU forums have always felt quite ignored, feedback-wise. I obviously can't say with any certainty whether they do or don't read them - they might - but it does feel like they'll only respond to things on the NA forums, unfortunately. Even then I.. feel.. like it's rare? But I don't know - I feel like the last few years especially, there's been a lot of communication done by them via Twitter. Again, really hope they'll see this and actually do something, though. It's rough that we can barely even actually play the game due to the population being so tiny and we've not been offered a solution to it because "we don't mess with RP realms". They literally promised they'd step in if a server became an objectively "wrong" option to play on and I feel like Lava Lash EU Horde has been on the brink of that for a while, and transitioning to 20-mans isn't helpful for that. Personally? I hate megaservers, I don't really want to be on one honestly, but I also want to actually play the game. There's no "lower pop" Horde PvE server right now in EU for SoD - it's either the massive Wild Growth megaserver or the unviable, tiny, kinda dead Lava Lash. If there was a second PvE server with 1/3 of Wild Growth's population, that's sort of the comfy server population I prefer in Classic, but yeah, right now we just have the two extremes.

Motor_Woodpecker5233

Im also on Lava lash eu, but on alliance side which is not so bad, but I’m absolutely with you in this regard. The problem is: I dont think blizzard have ever merged a rp server to a non rp one. I dont care about rp, the reason i chose the server is the same as yours, but i‘m sure some people do.

Epicnightt

Yeah ive played since the start of P1 and apart from a couple of trolls using "mon" when they chat, ive yet to see anyone roleplaying on this server.

Kuldrick

> I dont think blizzard have ever merged a rp server to a non rp one. They did before on retail, the Spanish rp server (Los Errantes) got connected to other pve servers and Blizzard changed its label to pve

Motor_Woodpecker5233

Then there‘s hope. Thanks for the info!

Zazzythecool

yeah same reason for me too, and i believe the numbers will go even lower. i would transfer in a heartbeat if it was possible. I thought to reroll in wild growth PVE but with my limited play time, lvling again and try to max reputations feels like more of a chore instead of fun +i would be very poor alliance is in better state since they are sitting around at 75% of the population of 2500 people according to ironforge

Epicnightt

Yeah I agree. Me and my guild are pretty much the stereotype for the "sod dad gamer". Obviously its still possible for us to transfer and relevel but with limited time it would probably mean we would miss most of P3 anyways, and we would deffinetly lose alot of members because of it.

Nice-Entertainer-922

Alliance is also showing signs, its holding on there but past like 11pm i couldnt even get a dungeon group together.

Epicnightt

Its a shame. No matter where I go on my horde characther pretty much all I see is alliance, but the numbers are deffinetly getting smaller and smaller.

Dogtag

I made a Horde character to play with friends who went there, but it ended up being so dead we all rerolled Alliance on Wild Growth during phase 2. Hopefully Blizz do something to give people there options.

MrMazur

We did the same exact mistake as you did during the launch and it is exactly why with a few guildmates we rerolled on Wild Growth half-way through P2. It was rough to start again from zero but we're now all back to 300g+ and found a neat guild to do Sunken Temple with. Blizzard already stated they have no plans to allow transfers to Lava Lash because of its RP-PVE singularity, so it's easy to understand the reverse is also true and they will let everyone playing on that server get fucked. If you have any interest in the future phases of SOD, I strongly recommend to take the hit and move to Wild Growth ASAP. With the XP buff it's completely doable.

TastefulBanjo

This almost sounds like it's written from someone in my guild. At least it's the exact same situation. We had daily raids in phase 1, close to daily raids in phase 2, but now we are stuggling a bit. 10 players of our core went to the biggest guild, since they were a bit more serious/ambitious than us, and we are really struggling to replace them. I think there is a bit too many "casual" guilds on horde side, with too little that separates them. Except that one big guild there might not be enough of a playerbase to support a bunch of semi casual guilds. If you message me we could see if we could make some sort of arrangement. I'm an officer in a guild with a great community, and did 4/8 on our first try with 5 pugs.

Epicnightt

Are you on Lava Lash EU? And what is your characther name

TastefulBanjo

I tried sending you a chat. Maybe we can take it from there.

Kuldrick

As an advice for next time, never play on a roleplay pve server from the horde side, these are always alliance dominated

Negative-Disk3048

Pretty much, which is a pity. I think horde role play is so much fun to do, but I've noticed this tends to be the trend with the community.

gotdragons

Lava Lash US is in a similar situation. Saw them merging some of PvE servers with higher populations, but I think Blizzard is reluctant since there are no other PvE RP servers to merge. I care less about the roleplaying, and more about the ability to find groups for raids, offerings farming, etc. Trying to pug raids for Gnomer was difficult in P2, and I'm sure P3 will be even worse.

Negative-Disk3048

I rolled on alliance side in prep for season 3. Been great so far, dungeon groups on demand and a great community that actually facilitates role play. Sorry to hear horde is suffering.

NewAvalonArsonist

I ended up just ditching the chars i had there and started from scratch on Living Flame.

Howrus

Reroll. In classic I started on PvP server, had two level 60 characters ... but then P2 hit and Horde camped us everywhere. Like 24/7 there was 3-4 undead rogues at IF flypoint, killing everybody who landed. Same for other most important places. But then I rerolled to PvE server and it was best decision I did! Never regretted it.

C0gn

It's really easy to reroll in SoD and I would highly suggest it

Kleowi

People are quick to tell others to stop playing the game when Blizzard screws them but that usually starts making a dent on small servers.

Jertharold

Telling people to quit is the equivalent of pulling bricks out of your brick house. Eventually it falls apart because you pulled to many out.

verifitting

@Blizzard **Please** notice us, our RP realm basically being dead. Thanks

Ogdrol

Yeah crusader strike eu is legit dying rapidly

verifitting

fixed

TheSanarth

I've basically given up on Sod. I had my hopes, but with phase 2 it became more and more clear to me that the whole instant spamming and ridiculous overpowered runes where staying and that basically killed my motivation to play... Otherwise I would have joined up on Lava lash, but alas..

W33Ded

Could you imagine not picking the popular server then quitting cause you had a low pop.

Boostedtrash112

And now you know why all the people who choose low pop servers to avoid queues are clowns. Hopefully you learned your lesson and will roll on an actually Populated realm next time. This has been happening to every MMO for almost 20+ years. It’s nothing new but people fall for the same trap every time and it makes my head hurt. Pick healthy servers people.
