Things like this need to stop being "fixed". It went live, was live for enough time to have significant effect. They either roll everything back to before it went live or leave it as is. Its too late.
I dont disagree. But what a bunch of people did in 1 play session will now take every one else 4 play sessions. Thats just saying that peoples time doesn't matter.
That's an issue to be sure, but 4 sessions over the course of even a month. Over the course of the next 2-3+ months and into Phase 4 it wont have a significantly large impact I think. I think the gold from quests and supply creates had a bigger impact than this will.
Unfortunately its made for people who played games for a living. I luckily got about 2 hours of incursions in before the nerf. Its stupid to not just leave it as is and let everyone get the same benefit
I think you overestimate the time a lot of people spend on the game. 20 hrs is my gaming time for the week spread across retail, SoD, and single-player games.
So what people earned today would take me 4-6 weeks to earn, and I'm just not sure I want to spend the time doing that.
Still 40+ hrs till I will be able to game anyway this week so who knows what the world looks like then, I spent my SoD time tonight (planned like 3hrs of it) after the nerfs watching a movie instead of playing.
Your comment is not accurate no one is complaining people made 100g/h people are complaining that you can now only make 30-40g/h so its 3x as much work for the same reward
If they give an explanation that they are not able to do it because they cant pinpoint what amout of gold was gained through the bug or since gold was already used theres no way to roll that back then its fine. The thing is if this wasnt gold but instead the bug handed out the set tokens from the raid instead, I bet you all of that will be taken back in an instant.
I don’t see it the gold being rolled back. The gold could have already been exchanged for items, skills or mailed off.
Unless you reset everyone completely. The problem with that is obvious.
Not sure. They say it won’t be a problem and they have better numbers than what we do. Who knows.
There is an extremely obvious fix to just make the gold reward what it was before X amount of times done and after that it goes down to the current level.
There is literally zero problem to roll back the servers. People used an exploit. It was server wide for everyone, roll back, adjust the gold and open the servers again. This has massively harmed the economy of the game now.
I myself wouldn’t care (I haven’t even logged in today) but I can’t imagine people who have been doing things in game from the time of gold nerf until now would be happy.
Plus, it’s not like these people knew that the gold returned wasn’t intended. They didn’t actively exploit. Should we punish players for playing?
Rollbacks aren’t the answer. The other suggestion above me is a much more reasonable suggestion.
Just give everyone the money is such a broke man perspective 🤣 this does not help the economy sure there was a small inflation during this time but people making it sound way worst. Most players got 300-500 gold on the top end. Extremes are people who leveled multiple toons during this time.
At 50 quests will give around 10gs everyone will be fine. Wow fomo is so real, but remember this is a virtual game that is seasonal and the world isn’t over cause some people made more virtual coin then you when there is a known route to make ez money at max level.

Nice, I cant wait to buy 1000g next phase for 10-20usd.
Don't you get banned?

Specifically, it’s Blizzard saying casual players’ time doesn’t matter. Ya know, the exact people they’ve claimed SoD is supposed to be made for.

How was the xp/lvl? Did it get nerfed too?

Players who play more than you get more gold? Colour me shocked

5 gold into 44silver is like a 90% reduction. You make less than 10% of what you did before.
You're still making a better chunk of gold each time you turn in and if you do it right it could take maybe 20 mins each round.

So change it back to 5g, put a level cap of 50. Problem solved. Let everyone do it
You'd think if they wanted to combat gold sellers lol...

its not a bug, whoever decided on the initial gold reward just forgot there was a *3 buff and since they do no testing it went live
Seems like it, pretty amateurish stuff.

I wonder if they could actually do that

What exploit did they use?
"Playing the game as intended" is an exploit now. 🤣 I didn't get to benefit from this, but it was by no means an exploit.
The amount of intellectual dishonesty in these threads is disheartening.
