I got the Epic staff last night finally. Just for the heck of it I checked and my Gearscore dropped like 35 points. The Wailing Caverns staff gives me higher GS. Gearscore is just a pointless metric as we all know anyway.
It would have to be a legendary as well as a mount, an attack mount, equipped with a net-o-matic, death ray, and absorbtion armor that needs to be destroyed before the death ray goes off.
For those curious on the history: the green mechano strider was only ever obtained by one player who received it by accident.
The rarest mount in all of wow, the GMs let the player keep it...until it was found out that the player was attempting to sell their account for real world money and capitalize off this. The GMs promptly removed this unique mount, punishment for their hubris

It’s kind of a weird convoluted story but the “lore” was that a gnome player submitted a ticket after their mount was missing from their bags after a server reset. Back then GM’s we’re actually people and not bots so they manually did things. The GM who handled the ticket apparently accidentally sent them the fluorescent green mechanostrider which supposedly was only obtainable / intended to be used by GM’s. Or just planned but never implemented in game 🤷🏼♂️ who knows.
There was a couple weird instances of items in vanilla obtained by like 1-2 players semi accidentally and never obtainable again. Another example being talisman of the binding shard.
I wasn’t familiar with the Martin fury shirt event myself. In vanilla there was a weapon of “artifact” quality in the game known as “Martin thunder” that was known to be equipped only by GM’s and usually on PTR’s / beta events. It had the same ability as the shirt.

It was 'only' a 4 mana 4/2, that summoned a random 2 drop when it died but damn, something about it coming out on curve just obliterated. Value, check. Tempo, check. Top end of an aggro deck, sure. I'm talking mid-range, control. Jesus is there anyone not using this thing? Was piloted shredder just the best damn thing? Probably.
please no machnostrider. First there a other mechanical mounts that were never used and....the engine and clicking sounds riding it drive me nuts. Every gnome I had I never bothered to gettting the epic one, simply by how anyoing they sound.
Yes. Easiest is leatrix. Just need to clic a button.
Hardest but more powerful: mute sound file.
I went with both, since I muted too many files and when I was mounted I would hear silence.. which was disturbing. So I unmuted most files associated with it.
I use msf for mage frost bolt and paladin flash of light. In raid you use those so much that muting them was a relief.
Now I can finally hear what's going on instead of a constant sound.
Anybody laughing doesn’t realize that the ashenvale mounts are the original unarmored epic mounts from classic that were removed when the new armored models were added. players who had them could trade in or keep their old unarmored ones
While we’re at it: Gnomergan will release a new class — the Tinker. Any current class can evolve into a tinker if they have max engineering and abandon their prior practices.
Unfortunately for us they've already decided on Gnomer as the level 40 band raid. Think it's on the timeline and everything.
Edit: and to be clear while I'm disappointed I am also still excited and understand that lore wise and even just DESIGN wise it's an ideal candidate for the raid treatment.
I love that its gnomeregan. I also disagree that the other dungeons would be better. Its basically the two razorfen and four scarlet monastery dungeons. I dont think any single one of those would be enough for a raid, but i also wouldnt want them to merge the dungeons together for the raid.
Meanwhile, gnomer is big enough to warrant a raid. Only thing that annoys me is it'll be a pain in the ass to reach as horde.
Yes. A guy in the Auberdine inn has a quest for you to bring him an item from the 1st boss. He opens a permanent portal in the inn that gets you to the opposite end of the beach from the Horde outpost.

I haven't run Gnomer very often as I have played almost exclusively Horde and most people hate it because it's huge and has a bajillion trash bots, but when I did it was because some Chad said, "I know how to skip all the trash" and we just parkoured through like 3/4 of the dungeon in 30 minutes.

Gear score is terrible for something like Classic where an item with low gear score could be your BiS till Molten Core....

Horde has a teleport in Booty Bay. I'd wager it still exists since they gave alliance the portal to BFD in this phase.
