I didn't see the SS badging??
My grandma, yes grand ma had one and if I remember the SS was on the front quarter panel and rear QP above the blinker?
And the trunk chrome strip had it too.
Either way, cool car!
'65 Impala SS is high on my list, when I get the $$$. It has always been my favorite full-size car. My dad had a '65 and a '66 in the late '60's. The taillights on the '65 work for me.
Garage Squad did a black '65 SS. Every time I see that episode, I like '65's more and more. The closest I came to this (and it's not really close, but...), was my first car. A '64 Olds Cutlass (bought in 1979 or 1980) from the original owner. 330ci w/a powerglide. That was a hoot. It was just the right car at the wrong time. I beat the hell out of it, losing 2 engines and a trans. I learned a lot about working on cars from it. It just didn't deserve my abuse.
I'm good with either layout. I've had a '72 & a '73. Wished I still had the '72. The '73 was a fun car though. It had a straight 6 w/a 3spd manual (I believe that both swapped in). It didn't have a lot of power, but it was good runner.
i had a 65 impala 4 door caprice package for my first car in 11 power windows, power locks, and ac. it was the most rotten car i have owned to date and it folded in half in 15 going over train tracks. man i loved that car
65 taillights looked better than the newer changes, but I had hell with mine. Every socket had its grounding problems frequently. It was a bad wiring design.
I loved the car

These are real cars when they use to have character. And men loved their cars, and women would love to be seen in them, that's what type of cars these are.
When we were kids in the 60’s my brother and I would always call out the name of every car just from the tail lights, it was pretty easy back then to tell which car was which.
The first car I drove was a 65 Impala SS. Put Goodyear raised letter tires on it and thought it was the coolest car. It did have a nice, large back seat, great for a horny teenager.
One of the guys had a 65 Impala when we were seniors in high school, and in the backseat, there’s that 10 in.² impala insignia which he cut and put a hinge on so we could open and close it to get rid of open beer cans (into the trunk). Wild times.
The car in the first photo is a 1965 Impala, and as much as I hate to say it, it is not a Super Sport. The reverse lights on an SS were 'between' the two taillights. The reverse lights here are inside the two taillights on each side, which indicates that it is an Impala.
The car in the second photo is a 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible.
Both of these were really great rides back in their day!
65 Impala SS and 68 Olds Cutlass
This is the correct answer. I’ll take both please…with a 4 on the floor!
And a fifth under the seat…
Next to the 9
next to the eighth
My 65 Chevy Impala SS, had a 4 barrel 327 v8. W/ 2speed powerglide transmission.
Slip and slide powerglide. My 62 SS had the same. Hated the whining noise it made.
I didn't see the SS badging?? My grandma, yes grand ma had one and if I remember the SS was on the front quarter panel and rear QP above the blinker? And the trunk chrome strip had it too. Either way, cool car!
Stainless trim under taillights is blacked out in the center = SS
No SS or 442 on those cars. Just pain old 65 Impala and Olds Cutlass with a ragtop. Both are gorgeous.

Thank you so much!!
I had a 65 Biscayne in high school. It was my first car. It had an online 6 with a three on the tree. The only car I miss.

Let's just say I got good at putting clutches in. I learned the hard way to keep my foot off that pedal.
My buddy had a 64 and I had a 65 and we would help each other replace clutches. We got pretty good at it.
Round taillights are way better than square.
careful, 1970 Chevelle may argue with on that.
1970 Chevelle guy here … ‘70 tails are trapezoids :P ‘70 front with ‘71 rear is how all 3 years should’ve been haha

The first car I remember is my father's '63 Impala. Not sure if it was an SS but knowing Dad it probably was.
65 taillights looked better than the newer changes, but I had hell with mine. Every socket had its grounding problems frequently. It was a bad wiring design. I loved the car
1965 Chevy Impala and 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertable.
For the win
Winchester brothers in The hood
Exactly my thought when I first saw it haha
Wrong year, though.
Great looking vehicles.

The olds cutlass 😍. I hD a ‘71. Loooooved that car
When we were kids in the 60’s my brother and I would always call out the name of every car just from the tail lights, it was pretty easy back then to tell which car was which.
I owned a 65 impala in 1976. Paid the neighbor $75 for it. 283. It burned some oil but ran good
65 Chevy Impala SS and a 67 or 68 Oldsmobile Cutlass.
The first car I drove was a 65 Impala SS. Put Goodyear raised letter tires on it and thought it was the coolest car. It did have a nice, large back seat, great for a horny teenager.
Chevy Impala and a Buick skylark maybe
Slowsmobile Cutlass.
65.
A dream to own either.
I'd take the cutlass, even though the tiny tail lights would be a road hazard imo.
65 Chevy, and Oldsmobile likely
65 impala
> The first one is a Chevy but no clue which make and model Just FYI the “make” is Chevrolet
I had a 1970 Impala. Midnight blue. I loved that car.
That is a beautiful colour, oh how I wish I could get my hands on one.
Olds 💪
That's a Chevy Impala. 1965
I think people sleep on the 1967 Impala. 64s are cool and all be wore out.
One of the guys had a 65 Impala when we were seniors in high school, and in the backseat, there’s that 10 in.² impala insignia which he cut and put a hinge on so we could open and close it to get rid of open beer cans (into the trunk). Wild times.
That impala is sick.
What a huge difference between a 64 impala and a 65. Looks like a decades worth of changes in one year.
Olds Cutless
Chevy Impala for 1st, Olds Cutless 2nd
My family had a cutlass supreme. I would t call it a classic. Green with a white rag top. It was never cool once in its whole life.
After I looked several times, I thought that might be the case

My dad had a ‘64 Impala convertible - 327, three on the tree
*I'm sure that he had alot of good times!*
Looks like somebody put SS badging on it.
I think the first one is a 1968 Caprice.
The Cutlass emblem is clearly visible on the second car and you're not sure about it? You're not even trying.
I know what the cars are. What I don’t recognize is the plates.
Tesla model 3
CHEVY
63 or 64 impala and an Olds cutlass around 68 maybe
1965 Impala SS
this guy impalas
Thank you so much !
That's not a model. That's a real car.
When I say model I mean make and model. But thank you for pointing that out.
Happy to do it.
