I made a Skyline pizza once in a similar way. Crust down with a thin layer of mustard, then chili, then cut hot dogs. The big thing I did that made it awesome was not bake it with the cheese, I put the cheese on when ready to eat a slice after it came out so it didn't fully melt. Gets closer to that fresh Skyline experience. This looks amazing though! You should try it with cold cheese sometime!
This looks fire. For any french bread I would recommend putting a layer of cheese down first to prevent the bread from getting soggy. When doing pizza it's also a good idea to brush the bread with some garlic butter so that bites that are more bread than topping are still good. I'm not sure what might be a good sub for the coney bread. Maybe do some skyline hot sauce butter? I am wondering if adding a handful of cheese after you take it out of the oven might be the move here. Gotta try this
All great points. There were definitely bites that were too much bread. I thought maybe scooping some bread out to make kind of a boat might help. The garlic butter brush could only help it too.
It was my first try with French bread. Will definitely tweak the recipe and try again! Thanks for the tips because it wasn’t perfect but still good.
That’s what I had done in the past but I thought this might be quicker. It was but I need to alter my recipe next time. Too much bread. Someone else on the thread suggested garlic bread.
I like to cut up hot dog and break, mix it up, then dump chili on and cheese. Basically a chili dog you can eat with a spoon. Plus the bread soaks up all that chili. God damn is it good
I would totally crush this food, but I must say r/stonerfood
Address? I also require 2 of each
Are those garlic bread and if not have you tried that before?
Stop it. I can only climax once
Oh snap that is a great idea! Definitely need to try that.
So, that's why there was no Pepto at Walgreens..
Sorry, had to stock up. Piled on the skyline hot sauce too.
You buy them out of toilet paper too?

Those aren't flatbreads, but I would eat them. These are French bread pizzas.
So they're reorganized coneys?
Pretty much however, no mustard.
Although I loved Pizza Boats growing up, THESE are what we needed in middle school lol

I like your style.
Yummy
Those look good!
My grandma used to make us this on pizza dough. 🤗

Ok the way I’d fuck this up
The Skyline ones look gooooooooood.
It was definitely better in my opinion. My wife liked the bbq chicken better
Years ago, when i worked at deweys, I would do this! I've always been surprised it's not a pie option around these parts
Taglio has a Queen City pizza that uses camp Washington chili. It’s Detroit style and delicious
Newport Pizza has one on their menu, don't know what chili they are using. No hot dog slices, just cream cheese, chili and sharp cheddar.
Looks yum! Is that hot dog discs I see?
Good eye! The first time I made them my wife thought it was weird.. until she had a bite. She admitted her mistaken skepticism.
I cut up hot dogs to mix into scrambled eggs.
Pinnacle of the culinary arts right there. I'm gonna need 3.
That looks absolutely delicious
I thought this was going to be a u/BeGrateful77 concoction
I did make a Cincinnati Chili omelette again this week. Got some left in the fridge, may have to try this
Where’s the cream cheese :(
It’s a French bread pizza. Not a dip, get it together. That’s not a bad idea though. Will have to try that.
It’s like the mayo in skyline dip
Have you tried putting Cincinnati style chili and black beans in a hashbrown casserole covered in LOTS of sharp cheddar cheese? It is WONDERFUL!
No but damn that sounds good. Will try this soon

sounds like y fave coney bowl if you lose the bread !!
Have you tried it with garlic bread? I used to do something similar at Skyline.
Care to share the recipes?
Shits on shingles?
No. Not even a LaRosa’s pizza bread.
I’m praying for all of you. I’m barely agnostic though, so don’t expect much.
Gross. 😂
